Just the basics. Full exhaust (GReddy & AFE), afe charge pipes, Eibach lowering springs, KTuner 2.0 (ordered a spare ECU), Mishimoto Intake, Mishimoto Catch Can, etc. Like I said in the previous post, I’m looking at fueling upgrade options as well as turbo upgrades too. I’m also thinking about buying some AG Forged wheels.
Where does one order a spare ECU from?

The day came and I couldn’t be any happier! Thanks to everyone in here that gave me their feedback, I know for a fact I made the right decision!

What dealer did you buy it from in South FL and was there any crazy markup? I'm in Kissimmee so maybe I'll see ya on the road sometime, I'm just biding my time!

Having owned a tricked out Toyota MR2 and Saturn Sky ( very under rated car) to a Mustang GT, I would have to say that in a straight line, its hard to beat a muscle car for bang for the buck. My Ford Mustang GT was purchased for 38k and there is little that comes close to it in its price range when I want to feel some Gs.

Cars like the Civic SI and R offer something to muscle car drivers from a driving perspective. They offer agility. I miss that go-cart feeling I had with the MR2. Being in a nimble and light car is a lot of fun once up to speed on a windy road. Sure the new muscle cars like the Mustang can carve amazingly well in a sustained turn but the with short turns, the mass of the car fights itself.

Your friends who drive muscle cars will laugh. But there is a certain thrill the small car provides that they will miss.

Sorry to bump an old thread...I saw a Camaro, Challenger, Corvette, GT500 but not a standard Mustang GT...I'll contribute

Completely different car but I couldn't be happier than the day I picked it up and traded in the Stang.

Looking forward to making this jump soon

I currently drive a Challenger Hellcat but grew up driving Hondas (Civic/Integra/RSX)

Trying to find a Type R @ MSRP currently

I have a feeling as much as I will enjoy the return to Honda, I'll also miss 707hp

wow, won't it feel slower in the CTR coming from a hellcat? That's got to be an insane ride...is the switch mainly for daily drivability, or was the hellcat just fine daily driving it? I only ask as I'm curious...I daily my CTR...no garage time for mine, lol

True, but straight line acceleration isn't everything. I'd imagine there's only so often you can flex those muscles down city streets. Hell, the CTR has less than half the power but is more than capable in getting you in some deep shit with the police, lol.

Don't get me wrong. I think the hellcat is a badass car through and through... But it's better to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow, you know?

lol, I hear you...I get on it and go nuts at times...then slow down and think, omg, if a cop had saw me, I'd be in deep trouble...I don't need anymore power, lol

That's why cars like the ZL1 and its 1LE variant interest me so much. Fast in a straight line and in corners.

I'm sure it will be slower but I'm OK with that

It's been a fun ride (my first domestic car), switching just because the car is coming off lease and I don't want to own it outside of the warranty (although to be fair, it's been one of the most reliable cars I've ever had). Partially financially driven too since I wanted a more affordable car this time around.

I daily drove the Hellcat and it was just fine (although I did have the automatic version). Joining the freeway put a smile on my face every day

I plan on dailying the CTR as well, commute will actually be increasing from 60 to 100 miles round trip daily
