Anyone have any leads on a 2019 Type R at/near MSRP in Washington State? Thanks guys!
There is a black one in transit to Honda Auto Center of Bellvue, I don't know if MSRP you'd have to call or dig through the naughty/nice list, the spreadsheet does not have that dealer listed but maybe someone here put something up about it. Could do a search. Go to honda.com, and from there:

Shopping Tools > Search by city,state/zip/name of dealer > from there click View Inventory, scroll down and select the R and it will show you what they have in transit/on the lot. Granted you'd still have to call and see if they have markup. I know a bunch of us here called many dealers until we found the right one. (I called probably 20 lol) Good luck!

I wonder if it's worth starting a "what I paid poll"? I know many people have paid MSRP, but for those of us in CA that don't want to bother with shipping from out of state, realistically what's the most ADM you'd be willing to pay or have paid? Maybe a poll consisting of 5 options;

MSRP
500-1K
1K-2K
2K-3K
3K+

The intent is not to shame people who paid over MSRP, since I'll probably go that route, but more of getting an idea of those who were lucky enough to negotiate MSRP. I honestly wouldn't mind doing no more than $2500.00 ADM no accessories, nada but that's just me.

Thoughts?

Accessories are also a big part of the dealership ripoff experience. $50 wheel locks shouldn't be $120 and basic tint shouldn't be $700. $1k in accessories is like another $500 markup becuase they charge double or triple. Also there's the b.s. warranty they'll add in like "fabric protection" for $800 lol

What dealer did you get it at?
Since it's been a year, I think my promise to not "out" them is up ;)

Rairdon's Honda of Sumner

However, they are definitely not doing MSRP any longer. Most places I hit up in the WA area were at least $5K ADM. I haven't cruised around the dealers in a bit, so I don't know what's out there currently. However, I do know the dealers outside of Seattle are more prone to End of Month pressure if you want to try your hand by showing up and standing strongly on MSRP or something reasonable to you. But my comment on going out of state still stands, when essentially you wind up paying under $1500 for shipping, or can even make it into a fun drive home...

I suggest starting a new thread and make it a poll with those options and leave this thread strictly for MSRP nice list discussions. Not dissing the idea, just a suggestion.

I paid MSRP + transport from the east coast to CA.

Hello again, as many of you know by now I am a sales consultant at South Hills Honda and we are a "nice" dealer. MSRP ONLY no ADM or accessories. We have made many people across the country happy CTR owners for MSRP! Most recently in the state of Washington! We are located about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh. We have an Aegean Blue CTR inbound. I will post pics once the car arrives. Any questions or concerns in the meantime you can contact me at [email protected] or 724-941-9100 ext112. Thanks!- Evan at South Hills Honda

Just checked in for Fernando in Whittier and Sean in San Diego. Both of them resigned and are no longer working. Both places tried to sell me the vehicles with 5 to 10k worth of upgrades.

Hi I'm new to the forum and on the search for '19 CW CTR at or near MSRP :D Any tips much appreciated!!

I checked in with a handful of dealerships today and all had $5k ADM or more, I'll head over to the naughty list to make sure they are listed.

Good luck to everyone who's in the same boat

Damn that’s unfortunate. I’m located in SD and I’m looking to trade in my 2018 Si for a Type R.

Ahhh if only this was a few months from now I would be all over this. I will keep you in mind though for when I'm ready. Thanks for being one of the good dealers!

Traded in a 1 year old car plus adm for CTR? Hopefully you didn’t take a beating on your trade... the first year is the worst for depreciation.
