Also did the Honda tech give you any details about the condition of your injectors or what may have lead to it’s failure?

I drive a lot for work. Put on over 50k miles last year. I wouldnt say I baby the car, but I definitely in no way shape or form beat on it. I'd say maybe WOT once or so a week on the highway. No track time, no racing, no wot from stop etc. Gas is mainly from Costco, nothing but 93. Tech didnt say anything about why they went out, just said that #2 cylinder was having a misfire and it turned out to be the injectors.

Considering the injectors were back ordered, I wouldnt be surprised if more members ran into this issue once they reached higher milage. The service tech said a lot of them are coming in with the same problem but he could just be full of it.

On my side, they found misfire on cylinder #3. They tested the coils and spark plugs. They propose to clean the combustion chamber and valves. If the cleaning doesn't work, then changing the injectors is the way to go. I did use CRC cleaning agent last Saturday and so far so good.

I do also lots of Highway commute with little WOT...

I hope for your sake that its not injectors. They cost me 1500 bucks all said and done. What year and how many miles do you have on your car?

Also what engine codes are you throwing?

Hello guys, check the spark plugs and found a white deposit at the tip of the electrode...Google around and found nothing alike...any hypothesis?

https://imgur.com/a/peoMhiS

Also, as per NKG web site, L15BA engine requires sparkplug: ILZKAR8J8SY
But OEM plugs are: ILZKAR8H8S

Verify the difference between the 2 spark plugs and all I can find is the gap..

ILZKAR8J8SY = 0.75mm
ILZKAR8H8S = 0.80mm

No I had a shop replace my plugs, they put in an incorrect gap. Honda found the problem and also put a set that was incorrectly gapped lol
Do you remember what spark plug number they used?

White spark plugs usually mean you are running lean, that’s what happened to mine when it was incorrect gap

I ran into the same problem when I switched plugs. I ran the ILZKAR8H8S and it threw a misfire / fuel pressure code when going WOT. I went back and looked at the old plugs ( ILZKAR8J8SY ). Replaced them with the new ILZKAR8J8SY plugs and the problem went away.

I'm pretty sure the Base 1.5T requires ILZKAR8H8S = 0.80mm and the Si 1.5T ILZKAR8J8SY = 0.75mm

I have difficulty grasping why 0.05mm could make such a big difference...

To those who are having fuel injector failure, did you have the dilution recall completed? I know as part of the recall they mess with the fuel injection software. My co worker had fuel injector failure shortly after the dealer messed with the software. Coincidence?

I have a 2016 and never did the recall. No issues whatsoever for me.
