Copied this from the FB group but figured it might be a good discussion for here as well:

Couple brake system questions. Anything special I need to know for bleeding and replacing fluid with Dot 4 (went Redline)? If there are tools available that make it easier to do by myself, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Are the stock pads actually Ferodo 2500s like I've heard some say? I was thinking of going Hawk HPS 5.0 for the fronts next.

Lastly - is it wise to change out lines to SS lines, or is that just bling/overkill? Car will see 4-5 track days a year, nothing heavy but if I'm going to overdo it anywhere, I'll do that on brakes. If they are a good idea, any preferred brands?

Thanks all.

if they are ds2500s (i'm a non-beleiver!) then they wont be useful on track. gonna be needing 800c temp pads all round.
I've ran a few trackdays on the factory rubber lines and the feel of SS is better. I'm using rebranded HEL lines but i doubt you'd go far wrong with Goodridge either - their SS clutch line is on par with the HEL from a feel&look perspective imo.
when i was researching the cons of SS, then it seemed to be recommended to check them more often. when they get damaged they seem to continue to wear over time (dirt gets stuck in them) but for a track car i'd expect you to be having wheels off every few months to ensure things are still good. tbh, checking brake lines reguardless of type is not a bad idea.
i'm a fan of 2man manual bleed. no fancy tools or suchlike. good ol' fashioned simplicity.
