I'm not sure what this means for our discussion. "I have not taken it out because of how the car grips now even with shitty tires wet or dry." Definitely not arguing if they work I have the lower only hasport mount and love it.

I have owned plenty of gutted out, stiff motor mount, loud exhaust cars and have just never noticed a difference with stiff mounts and exhaust noise. I guess I wouldn't believe it until someone shows me some factual proof about it, I think you're confusing extra NVH w/ exhaust noise. Either way don't want to argue it it's your car.

Yes, thats what I tried to say early the extra NVH is that much that it sounds like exhaust drone and give the impression of the exhaust being louder.

It’s a pretty straight forward install except for the transmission side in which a few items need to be moved out of the way to get to it but comes with torque specs in the instructions. Just make sure you support the engine and trans with a jack and wood block when replacing the oem mounts if not using a lift.
Kit arrived without any instructions, and their site doesn't have any either. Any chance you still have your copy?

Man, these Hasport folks need to get their shit together when it comes to packaging QC.

Decided that I could get by without instructions and use standard torque specs for M10 and M12 hardware. Really glad I took a better look at the hardware included before tearing the engine bay apart. Turns out I only received one of the two long M12 bolts that go through the new LH and RH mounts. Guess I'll be stopping the install process at the lower mount only for the weekend. :rolleyes1:

I have the Hasport 62a rear mount. Horrendous vibration and exhaust drone throughout the cabin upon install. After 300 miles it's approaching bearable, but still extremely annoying on cold starts.

It has helped with shifter feel, but I installed upgrades there shortly after the mount. It has not eliminated wheel hop, but it has reduced it. Not as much as people here are claiming - I still get it in first and second with cool tires. That said, the #1 benefit I've seen so far is a true increase in traction under power, especially in 2nd and 3rd gear in a turn. It definitely puts power down more effectively now.

Hasport's mount is excellent quality. Far better than OEM, and a bit better than aftermarket mounts I've installed on previous cars (e.g. Sector111's rear mount for a Lotus, although that had a beautiful sprayed on finish).

i've had the their '15 civic Si 70a mount on my FK2 typeR for a week (had to modify the mount slightly), and it's made things soo much better.
Was on the Dunlop RT2 tyres & more recently trialed a pair of Michelin PS4S on track. Ended up going to the Cup2's for second pair and wheel hop seemed noticable worse on the cup2's than the other tyres.
Also had the Xtreme twin-plate SMF clutch conversion since last november and that had noticable judder when pulling away in 1st. Engagement felt very inconsistent - sometimes i'd bog down, sometimes over rev, and rarely get a good take off.
70a mount has stoped the judder, and i've not had a single issue pulling away. Gear shift feel has also improved noticably. no more wheel hop and while the cup2's are running a bit cool, they do seem to be happier to get the power down than with the stock mount.

Yeah there's more NVH than stock but i'm sure it's settled down since fitting it, and more to go with only a few 100 miles on it so far.
I'm extremely happy with the mod - first time i've replaced such part and wish stuff like this were what the UK guys talked about more so i knew about it sooner.

Since the FK2 has different mounts than the FK8 i'm looking at matching up other mounts from the USDM Si or '18 CV Accord.

I also have the full mount kit. For installation instructions, a simple google "hasport fk8 mount instructions" will solve your problem. But, yes, it would be nice if they included the instructions. You would think this day and age, they've got their sht together. What was disappointing for me was I had to mod my tranny side bracket. One corner hit the casing. If you're not careful and you simply bolt it down, you're going to dig into the tranny case. However, they're still one of the best out there as far as mounts go. :dunno: And they've been around forever.
NVH is a matter of opinion. I love mine and understand the trade-off.

Found those through the great Google on my end as well and thought, "No way it's just two pages of incomplete hardware references and a callout for the FCSTK kit instead of the FK8STK kit, that would suck". Got instructions from Hasport through email yesterday. Turns out those really are the instructions, and they really do suck. It's a shame that such a fine looking piece of hardware is followed up with such a crappy set of instructions.

Thanks for the heads up on the bracket interference.

I used the missing hardware as an excuse to screw with things that don't matter that much :)

Bought some AN hardware for the main motor mount bolts. Nice thing about AN hardware is that you can spec them for the correct shoulder length (AKA not putting shear load through the threaded section). Thru holes on the brackets work as is with 1/2" bolts, but the thru hole on the bushings are under by a couple of thousandths (.499 VS .496). Some abuse of the drill-press solved that pretty quick.

For anyone who suffers from the same amount of stupid as me, here's the hardware list:
Bolts: AN8-35A and AN8-41A
Washers: AN960-816
Locknuts: AN365-820A

Only because I switched from 12mm to AN8 (1/2")
ah, gotcha. didn't pick up the part you replaced the bolts. Yea, i thought about that as well but ended up just using the provided bolts. I may replace w/ something better later. Not sure how far you got, but also note the tranny side, they should've properly spaced the part w/ the threaded stud. The bracket goes low and the nut goes all the way down. Feels like it's going to bottom out the threads. You could fab up a triangular shaped ss spacer that fits that area. I wish hasport went a bit more detailed on this. Some simple things could've made this a lot better quality. They machined the nice alum mount but half assed on the bracket IMO.

I emailed Hasport and got those same instructions. Was actually about to upload it here. lol.

So is this installation something I can do at home? Is it easy? I've got a track day in about 2 days so If it's something I can throw in an hour I don't mind going through it. But if its more involved, I'll probably wait till next time.

From the sounds of it, i wouldn't do it before your track day. It'll be a rushed job unless you take it to a shop. You don't want to rush anything and miss stuff prior to going to the track. If you've read anything above, you may run into some issues. At the end of the day, depends on your skill. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are. It's not hard, but it still took time. You're tranny side will be the most difficult. You have to remove your intake, battery, and loosen the ecu bracket or however you can to make room. good luck.
