Masters degree in what year because if you dont keep up with technology the degree becomes nothing
One Linkedin profile for the name Scotty Kilmer with his profile picture on it says he got a MSc in Anthropology from the University of Illinois (UIUC) which is a prestigious university. He supposedly got his bachelors at York university in Toronto which is a decent university. He's more sophisticated than people think he is. Good for him.

To address the thread topic, Scotty Kilmer is a luddite and hates new things. He hates turbos and only loves naturally aspirated 1.8L Toyota engines. He also calls his 94 Celica a sports car.

Actually, this is not true. I have two of his videos below. In the first, he recommends the new Civic Type R and he says that it's an excellent car. In the second, he explains why his Celica is a great car (but not a fast car).

They are both good videos, watch them if you have time.

He is a bit eccentric but i like his videos even if I do not always agree with him. Turbos rarely outlast engines from what I have seen. I still really enjoy having a turbocharged engine.

I would say that anyone who can't tell that Scotty has college education, without being told so, or finding it on the Internet, is very likely not to have any degree himself. In other words, it's quite obvious. Even though he is sometimes trying hard to appear rednecky and folksy. I bet Scotty is trying to match the now defunct Car Talk on NPR where the two brothers were MIT graduates but liked to play very funny simple fellows. Nothing extraordinary. Scotty provides almost comparable amount of entertainment to me.

I like it when Scotty shows a car in his video with a ton of dry leaves under the hood. He could have grabbed a blower and cleaned it in 15 seconds. But why bother? Most people who are not car maniacs also have a ton of leaves there.

But I don't buy a car or not buy a car because somebody told me so. I don't even obey my doctor or the Pope without examination, so why would I listen blindly to Scotty. Still, I learned a thing or two from him and I find him entertaining, smart and 90% right.

For example, all he says on CVT's in this video is true and a good advice to most car buyers:
