Are you tuned by chance? I thought my rear got excessively muddy as well but a friend who is an auto technician pointed out it wasn't actually dirt and was most likely from running a bit richer on fuel or something to that effect.
No, not tuned. Stock. It's light brown/grey dirt I collect all over the flat rear portion and slightly around the fenders only when it's raining, but the wing surface is clean. Otherwise, on dry days my cars back is pretty clean with the exception of light dust.
I guess it's the turbulent air stuck back there spinning the dirty water around from tires

Nice! Your gonna love the paint going forward. Just be careful when washing the car and use QUALITY microfiber towels when drying and buffing the surface and never use those leather shammies. If your not using a leaf blower to dry, then try out THE ABSORBER, its a miracle drying towel. i've done it this way for months on my Ceramic Pro and not one scratch yet and the car looks brand new. And yeah rain will dirty up the car, there's just no way any coating will stop that
Thanks for sharing you recommendation of the Absorber. I've used mine on my '08 SI for years. Got a new one for the type R and does the job as expected.
However,as tipped from a detailer(albeit Perma plate warranty PP pkg), I had to rethink, catch myself and revamp my drying practice;
have to be wary or careful to NOT rub or dry to much with even the absorber in general.
Rather wipe the absorber accross vehicle only enough as main point to get/absorb as much of water off as possible in first swipe, ..
then after that, use micro fiber towels or air blower for drying as others have recommended.

I just bought my second Absorber couple weeks back...I’m collecting all the colors...lol. Point taken about the rubbing aspect. Rubbing with anything could result in scratching.
From the very beginning, I’ve done as you describe. With a completely cleaned and drenched car, I unravel the Absorber completely and drape it across the cars surface. I then pull and quickly shake simultaneously while dragging across painted surface. This I find stops it from clinging to the surface while picking up all the water. Then for remaining spots of water and buffing whole car dry, I use very plush Chemical Guys MF cloths. Haven’t yet tried a leaf blower, but sounds intriguing.
I’ve been doing it this way now for a year, and really, the paint and plastic on the Si has no scratch or detectable swirl at all. And redder than the day I bought it

I had my car for two years, recently got it ceramic coated, looks amazing, water beats like crazy and bug guts and bird poop come's off much easier, paid roughly $998 for both paint correction and the coating, they also gave me $150 or more worth of product for free. Adam's polishes did it for me. they have a warehouse/shop/detail shop in Denver CO
EDIT: yes i am a weeb and my car is an Itasha build. XD
