Those Mustangs are loud as hell, I like them alot but my Si gets much better gas mileage. I toy with those Mustangs and just about anything on the road with my Hayabusa.
Just don't bump into anything at low speed. My 2008 Si Coupe hit a flat bead trailer so slowly that the airbags did not deploy and the car was totaled due to repair costs . When I bought the car used (at 159 K) the HONDA mechanic discovered that the hood play was due to the radiator support being BENT by the low profile wheels! Then again, I noticed DINGS on the top of the rocker panels below the doors. The car also had dings on the body where ever a car door hit it! VERY thin sheet metal, even for a HONDA! Nothing like my 1994 EX Coupe (278K) or my clean 2004 EX Coupe! Honda's getting way too thin on their sheet metal, at least on the Si's! My service advisor said that that's just how they're made now and I say BS. If this is how newer Japanese cars are made, I may have to stick with vintage! -John in Texas

I'm surprised there are so many doubters. A light, tuned, turbo civic is not slow. Add a couple mods puts you well into the 13's. Didn't that one guy run a 12.9?

Edit: Ok, nevermind. I thought we were talking about a regular MGT. Shelby GT350s are a different animal. Maybe the guy couldn't drive...or more likely, he was afraid of flooring it since he's probably seen the youtube vids where all floored mustangs end up in the ditch.

No one's saying the Civic is slow, but I still think a even regular MGT with the 5.0 Coyote motor will wipe the floor with even a tuned FBO Civic. Then again, i've never seen an fbo civic race a Mustang GT so I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

99 percent of new cars are now made with cheap crappy materials to cut costs. I had a 2004 Toyota Sienna (built in Japan), the thing was quality made, nice plastics etc. We had it 9 years and drove it 140K with zero issues. My wife totalled it, I replaced it with a 2013 (built in the US) and the quality of the materials, workmanship is crap compared to my 2004. The dashboard is made of the cheapest hard plastic, things are falling apart, I had to change the front struts 2 years ago. I don't know if it's because it is American made or Toyota just cheaped out, or both.

At $22K and almost fully loaded, don't expect Lexus quality!
