I know this forum is for 10th gens but bear with me please
I have a 2009 Civic EX (Coupe) in the 5 speed manual, all stock
If I want to put in a total of around $1000-$1500 what can I do to make the car noticeably faster than it is (0-60 time)

(Unless it is a relatively easy mod) assume it would be done by someone other than me

If exhaust is suggested, I would prefer it not be super loud an obnoxious, as to not appear ricey

If you have an R18 powered 8th gen Civic and have $1500 to spend, I'd try and sell it to get top dollar and put that $1500 to whatever 8th gen Si you can find. That'd be the most effective use of your money. Putting $1500 into an R18 seems like a total waste of money. Feel free to go to the appropriate forum. Just realize you can throw that whole $1500 and it'll still never be as quick as a stock 8th gen Si which really did have a special motor in the K20Z3.

IMO, it's a total waste to put money in old depreciated cars that don't have the optional better engine where you could just swap one old car for another slightly more expensive old car. It beats throwing money at the R18 car and getting minimal returns. Good luck.
