Is Accubass needed in our vehicles?

2018 Civic Hatchback w/ factory stereo

Does the bass roll off with volume increase? I'm having hard time figuring this out.

If it doesn't this really opens the door to replace my LC7i with a DSP.

If it does I'll just look to keep what I have I guess

Yes, the bass rolls off with volume increase. It may be possible to address this from software (with Honda Hack), but I have not seen anything conclusive either way as to whether or not putting your own EQ corrects the bass roll off.

Ended up using a LC7i. Might switch to a Helix Mini DSP in the future though.

Just wanted amplified speakers and a sub with factory stereo.
