You already have a factory tow hook for the rear that comes with the car in its tool kit. The front tow hook is embedded in the chassis and is on the passenger-side near the suspension components.

Bumped this. Do you know how to remove the rear cover piece where the factory tow hook is to attach?

The rear piece you will see a little opening to stick a small plastic pry bar (or screw driver wrapped in a cloth or tape to prevent scratching your paint) and pry it off. There are no hidden tabs holding the rear cover on, just gently pull after you got it started.

For the front, there is no factory tow hook option behind the front grill/cover but EVS makes an adapter if you want an external front tow hook. You would have to cut part of the honey comb mesh for this to work, here is the link for the adapter: https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/...tow-hook-adapter-rev2-honda-civic-type-r-fk8/

@SBPerformance Have your heard of any individuals who may have used the adapter on a non-R? I have a hatchsport and I know the frames and such are very spot on for both models so I'm wondering if people with non-Rs could use the adapter.

Perhaps reach out to Evasive and ask? My significant other has a 2018 Si and in comparison to my 2019 R they look VERY similar. I will be ordering the adaptor and can test fit it on his car, but before you order I'd give EVS a call at 626.336.3400

Easy, just clip in along all the edges but there is a plug you got to remove from the inside on the bottom edge...remove the top and side first then ply it open to remove the plug and take vent out...

Also the intercooler inlet pipe is blocking the horn nuts in the hatch, I tried to remove the nut with a wench but it bend the whole thing down instead of removing it...however, the horn now cleared the space for the tow hook adapter so I just leave it...you can see my horn is facing a bit downward in the photo, and that's why...

Yes, I definitely noticed the horn! I'll play around with it before I decide to drop down the $195 for the adapter. I appreciate the explanation very much!

That's a great alternative for sure, but it looks like you'd need to remove the entire front bumper to install. I do like that it looks more secure though.

Does anyone know if a functional tow hook can be installed on the front driver side? Or maybe in the rear? The only installation guides I'm finding are all installing on the passenger side.

I just relocated my license plate to that side so it's blocking the location where the tow hook will go. I'm looking at the RaceSeng tow hook too.
