Omg. I’m so sorry that happen. My CTR caught on fire while I was at work yesterday in the parking lot. It’s not a good weekend for white civics. Glad you’re okay.
Your CTR caught on fire?

Wow. What caused your CTR to catch on fire? Yeah I’m not sure what I’m gonna do yet I’m almost hoping they total it

What kind of area was it, was there residential houses or commercial businesses anywhere? Any possible witnesses? Any possible cameras? If there is even the slightest chance, I'd go door to door knocking to ask.

Did I ask? I get that but I’m just genuinely looking for opinions and other people giving me their experiences etc. so why don’t you go to some other post and say something on there cause this ain’t it.
So I’m driving down my road to my house and this white Hyundai suv comes flying down the hill in the middle of the road. They are more then half way into my lane. I swerve to avoid them and they barley tapped the front left bumper and sent me sliding. My car slid into a bridge. I got out and they took off. I was so mad I didn’t even try to do anything. But now guess what? I am stuck paying for all of this when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I’ve never been so mad in my life. This is what the suv looked like:

And this is what my car looks like now:

The front number is destroyed, the front quarter panel, both doors are smashed in, have tons of dents, and huge scratches and the rear quarter panel is messed up too. I’m so irritated. So what do you guys think? How expensive will this be to fix? Is it totaled?
As a matter of fact, you did ask. Your last three lines were questions. That is asking.
I did tell you what I thought and pointed you to get with your insurance; as they are the only ones to unveil the costs. There isn’t one person that will be able to determine what it is you ask in a photo.
When you want other answers, ask the right questions.

When you want to stop being a prick let me know. Also, your wrong. You didn’t answer any of my questions. You made a statement not an answer to my question. Also, what is this forum for? Because I’m pretty sure many people have posted stuff like this just saying. That’s all I’m gonna say cause I’m not into arguing with people on a forum.

All houses near were up a hill and there were no cameras near were it happened. The only thing a camera might have gotten was the car driving off but I don’t know if that would be sufficient evidence or not. Appreciate the response!

Sorry that happened. I'd be pist as well.

I dunno if a dash cam would have helped; but I like mine "just in case".

Lastly... glad you're not hurt. In time... that will be the takeaway.

Good luck with the insurance however you want it to go.

I got pulled over last week on Tuesday doing 125 in a 65 . State trooper was very nice. He asked me if there was a reason for my speeding and I told him I was late for work which I was. We then proceeded to talk about his car for a while because he drives an undercover mustang! He knew I knew who he was cause the minute I saw him I slowed down to 60 in the blink of an eye. After 10 minutes I told him I needed to get going or else the boss was going to be mad and he said be careful pulling off the shoulder. That’s it. No ticket or anything!
Funny thing is I really don’t speed that often. Maybe once a week if that. The whole interstate was open so I just floored it and mr trooper in the mustang was sitting on an on ramp. I saw him and slowed down but not in time. He said he didn’t radar me but he winked when he said it so I think he was just feeling nice. He asked me how fast I was going and I said “to be honest sir I was paying attention to the road ahead of me not looking now” and all he said was good answer!!
With your smug admission of 125mph in a 65mph - Who is the real prick? That was just under a month ago on April 15th when you posted it.
Now I will give you an answer.
SLOW DOWN Hero! It was only a matter of time before your “safe driving” habits caught up to you. Karma is a B word. Laugh that one up...

That made my day actually. You took that amount of time out of your day to do that for me?! Awh, how sweet. Can’t believe there’s still people like you in This world. 1. As previously stated, I did not cause the accident nor did my driving habits. 2. Me doing 125 on a wide open interstate with no one on it affects me and me only. 3. When you actually find a relevant way to connect that information let me know. Until then just stay off this thread. Appreciate all your time though your so sweet!

Relatively connect the information to this incident? You do realize that the “guilty” Dog always barks, do you not? You are now like a pack of dogs barking up a storm.
Slow down hero...you haven’t learned your lesson yet.
Thank you for praising me for being sweet. It validates my claim toward you.

Just saying most dogs bark whether they’re guilty or not. 1. There is no lesson for me to learn from this. I can’t learn a lesson when I did nothing wrong. The only thing I’ve learned from it was that everyday is a blessing. Also, if your trying to imply that I’m guilty then go ahead but that is the furthest from the truth.

only insurance knows for sure about "totaled" or not. I had a VW that got hit.. glancing blow.. hit left front fender, both doors and rear fender. Not totalled.. but close. Often comes down to percentage cost of damage vs cars actual value. you may have $10K in damage, but the car is worth $15K, so, they fix it for example.

Everyone is guessing it’s electrical. A friend had it happen to his Fit years ago.
