Thanks. The scraping is unavoidable. I've scraped it twice within a month already. Just gotta back up in parking spot from now on lol

I used this youtube video to remove the shift knob:


Then follow steps 1-9 in the pdf (can skip step 8, headunit doesn't need to be removed).

Once the shift level panel is out, I used this guide:

It's for the Type R but it'll give you a general idea of what to do (ex: inverting the boot to access the zip tie holding boot to collar).

Replaced my oem type r shift knob with Dream Automotive smoked shift knob. 13.8g vs 41.1g

Took it to Honda to get the extended 6 year powertrain warrenty due to oil dilution. My engine bay reaks like gas when I remove the dip stick to smell and smells like combusted gas. I personally l a 65 Chevy pick up so I know what oil smells like. Also have had multiple integras. I know this makes no difference but I can tell you I’m pretty suresomething else more is in the oil. It seems way more than any normal direct injection. Called Honda America and they are getting calls about the issue daily! They are well aware of the issue and are offering a 6 year powertrain warranty (if your car applies). It’s more like a bandaid. I also asked if I did receive the new tune am I going to get 37mpg like advertised on the new one ? Not a huge deal just not what it said on the paper. Why bull shit me ? recommend I take it to Honda dealer as my car is 2017 si and it applies to the possible issue. And stated by her this is not a recall.

Called multiple dealers and they played dumb as expected. Ultimately they will not even give the new tune for the higher RPM until either 1 of 4 code pop up and one of those is a missfire. I asked “so we wait for it fuck up and jeopardize the longevity of my motor ?” He said yes wait for that moment and bring it in.

Is any body aware of the extended 6 year unlimited powertrain warranty on the civic and also crvs ? Honda will not bring This to your attention you must call get your car checked out by a honda dealer for oil dilution or said 4-5 codesto Qualify.

This is going to effect the SI just like the CRV due to the fact it’s to overpowered for the pistons and rings. Same goes for the accord 1.5t.

Gas in your oil is bad but not that bad I guess but I a lot of gas in your oil is a bad thing.

Does anybody have any input ? Would be greatly appreciate.

Got over it listening to the rattle and smelling gas fumes from my mishimoto catch can installed on the wife's car with only 500 miles on it. Decided to take it apart locate the source of the rattle and punch notches on the lock nut for the brass filter to hold it from rattling, replaced the plastic 3/8 barb fittings to brass, and replaced the silicone hoses with regular 3/8 rubber fuel line. No smell and no rattle ever since.

nice shifter!!!living the dream!!!

Moved it out the way to drive this...a lot of sweat and overtime money lol still needs some work but first day on the road! Pretty sweet

Felt cute, might delete later. In seriousness, the mirror caps (crystal black pearl) have grown on me. Still giving this car a look back every time I walk away from it.

Got it from a local owner. I believed it is the ikon motorsports lip on eBay.
