Was wondering what can be used to prevent the headlight lens to fade. One of the
ugliest things on a well preserved car are faded headlight lenses. Anybody has tried
successfully to avoid that?

I’ve seen a few threads about people getting their headlights wrapped in a protective film. I’m heading to my local Xpel store front to see how much it would cost to get mine done or just ordering a kit and doing it myself for around $40

I've had lamin-x and smoked vinyl on my fogs and headlights for a year now and they still look good. Total cost for both was around $40

I have SunTek Ultra for the headlights and Lamin-x in yellow for the fogs, both on their way to me now. The headlights are going to be a pain to install due to the design and curves, so I didn't want to go with a think adhesive film like Lamin-x or Xpel. Suntek is slightly thinner (8mm vs 10-12mm) but it's due to the adhesive- the actual protection portion of the film is the same thickness. SunTek Ultra also gives it a gloss sheen, is self-healing and is warrantied for 10 years.

Fogs seem to be smashing left and right on this car from people on here and Facebook. So the ticker Lamin-x is definitely what I wanted to go with there. Since it's a circle with no crazy curves and raises, it should be very simple to install.

Sounds like a good idea. Just wonder how easy it will be to peal and replace after 10 years..
Will you let us know how was your experience, and where did you purchase the film?
