Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows how to change the side vent's to carbon and remove oem. Does the guard need to come off?
Also what brands fit good that you have used.
Thanks

I have the Seibon vents on my car and they were not that bad. The vent has one Phillips head screw accessible behind the fender liner and one bolt/screw accessible by reaching under the hood. Remove a few screws and one clip and you can pull back the fender liner enough to reach said bottom screw. Then once you have removed both the top and bottom screws anchoring the OEM vent, it will pop out. Be careful with OEM vents, they will tear apart on you if you bend them too much while removing. Pop in new vents, tighten lower screw and upper bolt, re-attach fender liner and you're done.

Here is a basic pic from Ebay to illustrate the attachment points.

great!
Were they a direct fit with screw hole's clips just like oem? Or could be better?

They were a direct fit. Maybe not 100% as tightly fight and perfect as the OEM pieces but they look good and I would do it again. A guy could use some double sided tape to snug them up a little more at the bottom.

They're good, not going anywhere. I like em, other people have commented on them and I'd purchase them again if damaged or stolen.

Just to be clear because you may have used that image as an example, but if that image is from the exact product you are looking at buying, that is not a Type-R fender vent replacement, but it is a "stick on" vent for normal Civics that are not the Type-R.
