Maybe I'm wrong here but seeing as this inlet pipe is almost over the furnace (turbo), it would be nice to see some some of thermal protection option as well, depending on the material chosen..

i also agree with an earlier comment that it would be nice to see a plate or label to replace the Earth Dreams one in the engine bay (CTR, Type R, PRL, etc.). Custom matching Type R number would hit it out of the park :)
Correct, we already stated that the over pipe material will either be thermal-coated aluminum, Titanium, or carbon fiber to assist in heat-soak. ;)

Since the walls are thinner heat may get transferred more depending on material used rite?
Typically thinner walls retain less heat and dissipate quicker. Especially when composed of a material with better thermal properties.

Keep it simple and clean is my vote. Then for those that want the earth dreams or custom type r # have that as an options for additional cost.
We will see what is possible here. More features means more time and cost, especially when working with Ti or carbon.

You are planning to lava wrap their inlet pipe when they release it? Only intake pipe blanket available only fits the stock pipe.

Whatever is available at the time Iā€™d make the choice. Donā€™t want to buy a blanket and then this gets released where I canā€™t use it. Also donā€™t want to wait 3 years for it to release : P

if its any of the materials they've stated you'd be wasting your money by putting a blanket on top of that. i mean you CAN add it and it would probably make a minor difference but i'd bet its within the margin of error.

A little update on the inlet crossover pipe, after mocking up a 3D printed piece we fit and welded a prototype piece. Fitment was tested and confirmed, this was used to make a jig for titanium production pieces. The last picture shows what we're shooting for with our pie cuts. We will be dyno testing this week with both the stock intake, stage 1 intake, and high volume intake!

While I think that would be neat, I'm not sure that a turbo kit would be very useful without the ability to run port injection with KTuner/Hondata.
That subject has been beat to death a few times here, I think there some people out there just collecting parts ready to be installed once all the other parts that we need are available.

There are people looking to make $3K+ purchases that would effectively be paperweights for an indeterminate amount of time? o_O

A turnkey port injection kit developed in combo with KTuner to allow for its use would be a much more practical use of their R&D time.
