I once had a dry 85 shot of "NOS" back in the day on my V6 Probe GT. I was clocking 13.7's @103 at the track. 0-60 was around low-mid 5's. Man, that was a great set-up after I beefed up the clutch. There weren't many cars on the road I couldn't beat or at least compete with. My favorite's were the WS6's and LS1's F-bodies who just couldn't believe they were neck and neck with a Probe. LOL Good times! Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Looking for opinions of standalone Nitrous Wet kit on our 1.5t engines.
Is anyone running nitrous?
Does anyone know anyone running nitrous?
I'm just curious if its safe.
I'm currently running +9 hondata base map.
I'm tired of getting harassed and stomped by higher displacement vehicles.

Run a 50hp wet shot. Your intake temps would be cooler. You should be fine. The thing is, you are already running a +9 hondata base map. You would be pushing it.

If you're using it to help get off the line... I think it'd be bad. 1) FWD is bad with traction and we have to use BBG to keep from blowing the tires off already 2) the turbos so small, it spools quickly anyways 3) you're going to make the torque peak that much worse.

NOS, at least on the RWD turbo cars I've had was mostly aboit getting big turbos spooled and that platform can be launched effectively.

Already rolling past the torque peak just to add more up top? Sure... I guess you can do it. I just don't think the spot where NOS really shines can effectively be applied to the platform itself, not to mention I'd be torque adverse.

Just my opinion. It would be cool though. Especially if you had two of the big ones.

A 50 may be to much. Forced induction has a doubling effect. A 50 shot would perform close to a 100 shot. And once again if you did this with the stock turbo, the little turbo will explode. I say get the gtx2867r and use a small shot just for spool

Who knows how long the motor would last. A built block would be recommended.

You think so? A built block for a 50hp shot of nitrous? Well do a 25hp shot then. He can cool off his air intake charge and enjoy more horsepower. No reason for his stock turbo to explode. You guys!

A 25 would probably do some good things, the turbo will take that 25 and make it feel like 50. But yah, you'll add some serious exhaust pressure. And the stock turbo is tiny and it would probably crack the hot side.

But I guess it all depends on what else is being run with it. If your already full bolt on and running e40 your already pushing that stock block, nitrous on top would be the killer xD. But if you were mostly stock and ran a 50 shot, you might be fine.

Buy PRLs intake manifold spacer and run a 4 port nitrous system. Send it!

Agreed! Running it on a stock setup or a mild tune I think it shouldn't be a problem. I honestly don't believe he's going to run any nitrous on his car anyways. :)

I know I was looking to run nitrous on my 2015 Honda Fit but since it is a direct injection engine, there was nowhere to tie-in into the fuel line to get more fuel (Wet nitrous). And I couldn't find a way to raise the fuel pressure for a dry shot so I just let it be. I definitely wasn't going to spray it through the maf sensor and hope it would calculate the proper air/fuel ratio that way. I remember arguing with a vendor (What vendor used to sell those purple nitrous kits? Zex?) about this years ago.

Our fuel line is pretty accessible. If I end up getting the @MAPerformance block

I'd throw the gtx2867r in and use a small shot to spool it up.

Running the gtx2860r right now, on my 17 SI, with meth injection and E30. 0 complaints so far.

New here and posting for my wife's car. I currently have a NX Proton setup with a WOT voltage switch that I'll be running a 35 wet shot with. Only mods are an Injen cold air intake and a custom axle back exhaust with a ktune. A couple questions, 1: Will that pull too much of the fuel pressure before the mechanical fuel pump and starve the engine (kaboom?) 2: Has anyone ran into an issue with re learning the NX WOT switch? It wont learn after I hold the button for some reason. I'm going to give NX a call tomorrow and see what could be the issue. I know the throttle body has 2 output signals and have tapped the one that was the most consistent with voltage output (0.4 idle -2.6V at WOT if I remember correctly). I'll post up some setup pictures if I can. This is on a 2018 Civic SI.

Replying to my own post lol. After more digging, I found out I had the wrong wire. Its actually the lime green wire on the throttle body harness. It puts out 0.88 volts at idle and 3.94 at WOT. I had to hold down the learn button on the switch while I turned on the power to the nitrous relay. Ended up working out. Now to see if the fuel pressure will be an issue. I'm sure this thing will be monster on spray.

I am really interested in your results with this.
