Just installed the Honda leather wrapped shift knob. Aesthetically, i like how it looks and matches up with the interior of the car. I'm a fan of medium to light shift knobs. So with it being 160ish grams, worked out well for me. I switched to this shift knob from factory shift knob to see if it would help ease the shifting a bit since i installed the adjustable short shifter from acuity and its a bit stiff for the stock knob being at lower position at 140grams. Based on what I can tell so far, it actually did help with the shifting. However, I'm not sure how I like the knob at a higher position.

What wheels are those? That looks great

How hard is it to install a shift knob for someone who is extremely DIY challenged? Also, where did you get that particular knob.. been thinking about swapping the OEM accessory knob for either the stock one or maybe a new one, but I don’t feel like paying to have it installed.

Lol at suggesting a steering wheel will break in your hands... LOLOLOLOLOL.

And even if it did, what stops someone from still steering? There will still be something to hold on to regardless.

Today I learned anything and everything that comes from China is 110% shit and will always and undoubtedly fail in your hands... Even though 1/2 of the shit everyone uses everyday comes from China anyway...
ok your life not mine. fair warning. i'm not taking chances on track or road ;-)

People have to justify over priced items somehow. While I would not trust poorly built safety items I think a Buddy Club wheel is plenty safe.
sorry but not justify anything. there's huge difference between honda oem vs chinese made wheel for a reason.

The interior of the Type R has slabs of fake CF unless my memory is messed up.
no, oem interior has zero fake cf. those are not even close to being fake cf.

by fake cf, i meant the kind of finish that's imprinted to look like real cf but are not.

our dash and doors are not considered fake cf. there is a difference.

Ok so you mean the entire cheese ball fake carbon exterior? :p

And sorry, the factory dash and door inserts are intended to look like carbon fiber. Yep, that same old checkered pattern isn't there to be pretend wood grain.

LOLOLOLOLOL warning about what? Absolutely nothing happening with any aftermarket wheel, whether Japanese, Chinese, Italian, or otherwise?

No idea what you do with your steering wheel, but even with a firm grip I'm not man handling the shit out of mine... And unless doing something completely beyond the norm of what you do behind a wheel I cant imagine how you'd break one either.

Spend your money how you like- no one will take that away from you. But unless you provide some sort of engineering analysis showing those products are actually inferior (shouldn't be hard if Chinese steering wheels are failing all over the place), I'm calling this a justification for spending money and that's it.

Not everything is created to the same standard in China. There are things such as R&D, inspections, testing, etc that reputable brands follow, regardless of where they subcontract their manufacturing to.

what'd you go with?
I went with Achilles ATR Sport 2 for local grocery errands and no track use. Only put 200 miles on the factory Contis and they’ll be put up for sale shortly.

They fill up the gaps quite nicely and provide a bit more cushioning for the wheels.

I believe that those are the NSX Y spoke wheels
Aren't the nsx wheels unobtanium at this point? Seems Acura has cracked down to the point that you need proof of purchase for an nsx before you can order.
