Got it on rotation. I did the calibrate three times deal. Next time it triggers I'm going to cover the dash cluster with duct tape!
The TMPS light coming on when I know nothing is wrong and I just have it calibrated incorrectly got old really quick. Pulling over in some sketchy parts of town to check your tire pressure is not good for your health.

See I look at it the other way, I LOVE that they did it at least on the CTR so I don't have to buy sensors for new wheels
X2. Same. I love the fact they dumped the dedicated sensors. Now I also haven't had problems... but it has popped up in a temperature change that threw off pressures and triggered me to check and refill the tires and do a recal. Otherwise, I've never had it go off. I'm fine if they want to give the speed sensors on the hubs a second job.

When a dedicated sensor goes bad... the ~$50 cost to replace it and the need to break the bead and dismount the tire is a PITA. Every time you replace tires it's a little more as well they charge you when you have TPMS sensors on the end of the valves. Since we're all going away from dedicated spares too... if you want to use fix-a-flat or whatever to get yourself down the road to a repair shop, you can pretty much kiss the sensor goodbye.

For a government mandated safety feature, I thought it was a good way to use another required sensor associated with ABS which, in turn, should represent a lower lifecycle cost to the consumer. While it may be a lower cost to Honda to produce the car... we should see dividends every time we replace tires or don't replace a failed TPMS sensor.

Why would a rotation upset the system?? Same tires same pressures!! This system just seems overly complicated to me. Actual tire pressure sensors seem to be much easier and I've never had issues with them on other cars. Just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be done. Technology run amok!!
I haven't recalibrated when rotating. I just adjusted pressures for the new locations and haven't had any issues.

reset it. get in the car and calibrate it three times in row, then go for a short drive and it should be fine. If not go to the dealer
Hi,
By 3 times do you mean calibrate, drive 20mins, calibrate drive 20... or calibrate, calibrate, calibrate and then drive 20ish mins?

I believe it is calibrate, wait 10 seconds, calibrate, wait 10 seconds, calibrate. The tire pressure light on the dash should flash a few times. This is supposed to reset the tire calibration completely; make sure your tires are properly inflated before doing this.

speaking of the devil, it just happened to me today - but my tires were indeed low pressure due to a bad pressure gauge I used yesterday. I thought it would go away after i filled the air and drove it a while, but it didn't. So i did the "calibrate" once, and it went away instantly before I even started driving, and it stayed off for the 10 mins of driving til i got home. Hopefully, it won't come back on tomorrow.

you don't need to drive in between the calibrations. I have heard you need to wait 10-15 seconds between calibrations, but I didn't do that and I have had no issues since I calibrated it and then went on a short drive

Back on 4-2-19 I checked the tire pressures with a reliable gauge, did the reset three times and now over 30 days later and plus 100 miles...No low tire pressure warnings! Thanks to all the advice offered on this forum.

I had the same thing happen to my 19 Sport sedan on the second day i had it, i did the recalibrate once and then again when it came on again and has not come back on since but I did not know about doing it 3 times in a row, good to know if it comes on again. does not seem to be a very good system or not enough tolerances built into it coming on or not

Ok so now it is 5-10-19: 38 days since last report and the light came on again!!! I had driven @ 50 miles in the morning to watch a GC track meet with temps in the mid 50's. This included about 40 miles of interstate. As we were pulling into the parking lot the tire pressure warning popped on. On visual none of the tires appeared low. I check pressures and all were more than set pressure which seemed appropriate considering the drive and all were above by approximately the same % of rise. To recap @ 38 days prior I set the tires to the factory recommended setting with a reliable gauge and did the recalibrate x3 deal. This system sux!

I have had the same problem twice now, drove 65mph for a trip about 45 min and then hit traffic, slowed to 20mph and sensor immediately lit up. Second time drove 30 minutes at 65mph and exited the freeway came to a stop and sensor lit up. Both times all tires were fine, reset the sensor and it didn’t come back immediately. These two trips where it happened were at least 3K apart and while getting off the freeway/slowing means the tires should be cooling it happens so fast that can’t be the cause.
