This thread is to talk about Toponemotors and to give you guys my experience with them.

Anyways....I placed an order for some canards and a diffuser on 3/9/19. I was told they would take about 3-4 weeks for the product to be made and shipped. Fine. I don't mind waiting. As the time progressed and the date to receive said product was closer, I sent them an email to inquire about the parts I had ordered (this was after i called the number listed but to no avail). This email was sent on 4/3/19 and I was told by a Nicole that my package would be shipping out within a week. Great.

Another week passes and I send them another email. Once again, they told me that it would take another week due to a supply issue with one of their vendors.

I ended up giving them till 4/24/19 before sending them another email to inquire. This time, a man by the name of Jay sent me a tracking number. I looked into the tracking number and found that it was just a simple label creation and that no product was actually ever packed up and shipped.

So i ask them again what the hold up was. At this point, I'm slightly annoyed because their company is located literally less than a 100 miles away from me. A shipment from fedex, even a regular shipping method, would AT MAX take a day. Their response was to ask me if I wanted to drive there and pick it up. This just confirms that they were BS'ing me about shipping out the product.

Anyways, here i am still inquiring about a product that was promised me over a month ago. I don't get it. I understand that I'm just one customer but this is getting a bit ridiculous. Is this how they treat all their customers? Has any of you guys worked with this company before?

Sorry to hear this happened to you but I have had almost the exact same experience with them back in 2017 when I ordered a front splitter from them for an RSX. Inquired with them about a week after I placed the order and was told that larger items such as a front lip splitter takes 2-4 business weeks to ship those out from the date of order. So I gave them that time and emailed them over a month later asking where it was and was told that my order was actually slated to ship out at the end of the week. Two weeks went by with no update so I ended up asking for a refund and I never plan to deal with that company again. Poor customer service all around.

Just looked back at the emails and Jay was the same person that contacted me after I asked for the refund.

Avoid toponemotors, the products are garbage if you ever get to see them. Be glad you didn't get sent any of there crap. I bought the side skirts and it took 6 months longer than the 3-4 week lead time for them to arrive. And when they arrived one of the side skirts was about 9 inches shorter than the other.

Jeez. I wish I would've seen these reviews earlier. I'm going to give them one last chance to send out my stuff. After that I'll be reaching out to my bank to tell them to reverse the charges.

I’m responding to this to let you know it’s probably not top ones fault at how long this is taking to get your order but it’s most likely the plastic manufacturer that is at fault. I work for a plastic manufacturer in Minnesota. We see it all the time. One of our customers calls, places an order, then expects it right away. The one thing we don’t do, which makes us lower grunts mad, is we aren’t honest with the customer. If they want it at the end of the week, but there are 4 orders ahead of them, it might actually take 2-3 weeks before we get the product shipped out and we won’t tell them that.

There’s actually a lot more to this, like we might make 50,000 parts for Bendix on one shop order, where as your part is just one. Now I’m not saying your part isn’t important, but if you need 50,000 parts and you can make 200 parts in 8 hours. How long will it take to finish the one order before they can start yours. Now add in how many orders are before yours.

I’m not trying to defend top one, never even heard of them, and I hope it works out for you. I’m more concerned about the guy who got short changed on his side skirts. Hehe
I’m a dimension tech and I measure these parts made in my plant. I don’t talk in inches, I talk in thousands of an inch. (.500 is good, .503 is to long and it gets rejected.)

It's not like I didn't give them time to fulfill the order. When you place an order on their website, they actually warn you that the product might take 3-5 weeks to fulfill. It's been over 8...

And i get from a business standpoint how my one order might be less important than one that is 500 units.

All that stuff isn't what upsets me. It's the fact that I've tried to contact them regarding this order and all they did was give me the run around. If you need more time, just tell me. I get it. Shit happens.

I can see where your coming from and how this may apply but I feel like if it is not TopOne's fault that the orders aren't being filled due to say poor management on the suppliers end then just come out and say that. Or if they are swamped with orders and yours might take a little longer than the advertised time frame just send out an email to all affected parties. TopOne is dealing directly with the consumer and communication is the one of the most important attributes to good customer service. Consistently waiting for the customer to get upset and making the customer ask where their item is not really acceptable in my opinion from a "larger" company like TopOne. I would be more understanding if they were newer and didn't have much experience but if you have multiple people over the course of a few years complaining about the same issue then it's a problem with TopOne in my opinion.

I agree 100% with both your comments. I’m not trying to defend either company. To me be honest, I’m your customer. If it takes 2 weeks, tell me. If it takes 3 months, tell me. There should be a point in time where top one should know when it will be ready, and then relay that info to you.

Yeah I'm in manufacturing and this stuff happens all the time. A lot of the time there's just nothing you can do about it. I do fault the company for not being more transparent about their lead times. We have a very specific "when available" lead time for situations like this and we try to be as transparent as possible but sometimes crap happens

Honestly i created this thread to see if I was alone in the matter (like maybe they're just busy this time) but it seems like its an ongoing issue. I own several businesses myself and while i understand that shit happens, i never treat any one of my customers like this.

I'm going to be raising hell. AT least to the point where they understand that it is not ok to treat customers like this.

The key word that is not mentioned is "responsibility". As a company, you need to be transparent w/ your customers as a standard business practice. It doesn't matter if the plastic parts supplier or whoever it is is late. If you're the seller, then you need to tell the customer or know the business and give the customer a heads up of the lead time. You need to be responsible for it, not your multiple suppliers. Obviously, ignoring the customer is not a good practice. It's 100% the fault of Top1 not being responsible. You can't simply blame your supplier for something that you're selling. Otherwise, Apple will say, well, it's not my fault China can't make the iphones fast enough.

Op, have you tried social media? I think they're "Top1motors" Maybe you can try your luck there. There's a guy named Johnny that always reps them. Personally, i'd just cancel your order. From looking at their products, it doesn't look that appealing. Adding your issues w/ them makes the product even worse.

Posting my experience from them with my S2000. I placed a order for a diffuser on 10/20/18 because they were running a sale. Emailed 11/15/18 to ask if there was any ETA since I gave them more than enough time to ship out. Was told on 11/17/18 that there was delay with hardware and would ship out the end of next week. It never shipped that week...on 12/7/18 they said shipping out today and provided me a tracking number. 1/5/19, the tracking number still shows "label created" from 12/7/18 and never sent out. 1/16/19 I created a paypal case and on 1/18/19 they finally shipped out the diffuser and threatened to cancel the shipment if I did not close out the case.

I received the diffuser and it was honestly just thick abs plastic material but still very filmsy. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Update: I gave them a call yesterday on 5/6/19.

No one picked up but i did get a text reply. Went ahead and texted them instead to basically ask them where my order was and to tell them that it was ok if it was delayed. Told them to just tell me. not even going to be mad. Anyways, after some back and forth they said that they will be shipping my product out tomorrow, on 5/8/19. This is their last chance... if they decide not to ship my shit out. I'm just going to roast them.
