Hello everyone! I’m daniel from Colombia. I just turned 18 and I own a Ford Fiesta.you see here the economy is quite different from the us, so here’s the problem. I want to do a project car on which I can get really good power numbers 500-700Horsepower if possible, 500 is my goal. So I wanted to buy a civic! It is the best option for me since not all kind of cars are shipped here. So I have a Ford Fiesta on my hands. So here’s the currency part, which is weird.
This Ford Fiesta is worth 50k.
I want to buy an 8th gen civic si with the k20 z3 or a2 engine with it built in.
Said 8th gen civic is worth 50k. So I can directly trade my ford for a civic by selling the ford and using the money to buy a civic. I want this civic because it’s more modern and more comfortable than late civics. I also want to have a cool car and comfortable enough to have a ride with friends if I want to. Now there’s this civic eg which I really like because it is really light and can be really mod able. Now here’s the deal the eg (1992-94)is worth 20k meaning if I sell the ford I have 30k left for mods(around 7k US dollars in your currency) so this eg comes with skunk2 suspension, hondata ecu and recaro type r seats. Id just have to buy a jdm k20 for it and save for a turbo. But this car is old and isn’t as well seen or have that much comfortable features as the newer 8th gen i can also buy. So here’s my question can I get 500 hp or more out of the 8th gen?? And also get it to be light? Because if I can I’m going for the 8th gen. Also what do you guys think?? What you guys think I should do?
Oh, also the si 8th gen is a coupe 2 door not 4 door
thanks for the help in advance

I am coming from an 8th gen SI coupe and it was a good car with a great engine. If I had to buy an 8th gen again I would prefer a sedan as there are more parts available, but I'd still get another coupe. Stock stuff usually withstood 400-500 HP for sure. Pushing into 500 and above you will need to address transmission gears, axles, you can add pistons, rods, head work, possibly sleeve the block, but if you go all out you will have a beast of an engine.

PRL or Full Race Turbo Kit, OR a MERC Racing Supercharger kit all capable of your power goals. I was aiming to put a supercharger on there for the instant power and the whine + VTEC.

Put a Ford coyote crate engine in the fiesta...

Then you can have the ultimate sleeper!
