Yeah on my campus lots everyone wants to speed through turns without checking for some reason, and the corners are spaced similarly to the video where 2 cars can't easily turn at the same time. Some people have no common sense when driving

The person went wide and over the yellow line. I can also see that you were being cautious because of the individual who was working on his trunk to the right. This is very obviously their fault and I'm so sorry that the insurances are being complicated.

I dunno about auto insurance, haven't had too many occasions to use it, thankfully, but I know that health insurance companies like to play hardball and deny stuff once or twice just to see if you'll fight back. If they can get you to back down and pay for more of your care, so much the better. My insurance company, Cigna, does this to us constantly. Takes a month or two to get pre-authorization for any procedure, no matter how blindingly obviously medically necessary it happens to be.

I was in a parking garage today and thought about this very post. I purposely parked in a spot where I could see people coming around a corner to exit. I sat in my car for a few minutes and watched as practically every driver raced around the turns like they were in NASCAR. Thankfully, there were no accidents but, man, people need to chill around those turns in a parking garage. smh

Back in 1994 I was driving on a major road on Long Island with my 1983 mustang A girl in a 1985 camaro blew a stop sign and hit the front passenger fender and nose the police report was in my favor her insurance company didn’t want to give me full claim because I was at fault to . Stating that everyone at fault when the vehicle is in motion after small claims court to get the record straight and the car fixed ( it was never the same after that ) my insurance company did nothing for me but raise my rates and fixed her car I dump them after that . But the op’s accident really shouldn’t be a problem with the video unless they pulling the same bs that they did to me

My insurance already talked the other driver and she admitted her fault hopefully a good sign.

del sols were cool cars. especially the vtec model.
man, i remember 1994 like it was yesterday. the music was cool, the cars were small and nimble, ppl didnt have celll phones, ppl werent as shallow, etc. life was definitely more exciting in those days. vtc was taking over. damn i wish i could go back and relive those times again

I would say the majority of the blame rests with the Infiniti. That vehicle looked to be going too fast for the turn, was turning and you essentially were stationary and going straight, with no place to go. Yes you crossed the line a bit, but obviously due to the pedestrian.
The ideal scenario was that you stopped and waited for the pedestrian to clear and stay on your side, but considering the sequence of events in totality, you acted reasonably in my opinion.
