Coming back from store today sitting first out at stop light where the street ahead narrows down to one lane about one block ahead. I'm in the lane that does not need to merge and I notice a full size Lexus SUV creep up to the side of me but not along side. I notice the driver is a younger 40 something female. I'm thinking "she wouldn't..." The light goes green and yep she did. She gets on it as I roll across the intersection. She gets to my front fender when I drop it in second and mat it. The CTR goes by her like she had put her car in reverse. She blends in behind me and lags back so as to cover her intentions. I slow down to five under limit just to rub it in.

I'm an old guy and should just let those challenges go by.

This car is making me feel young again...and I love it!

The fact that you noticed what you've done suggest to me that you'll won't be doing too much of that...every once in a while, it's ok. you have to open up the type R some how, right :)

I did that same thing to a guy in an old pickup. I didn't think he was gonna gun it either for it being an older truck. He really slammed the gas to get in front of me. Maybe I surprised him when I punched it and went weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and left him behind. Quite a way to start the day lol I wouldn't feel bad. She underestimated you.

I had a wrx pull out on the feeder road after seeing me drive by and the driver's eyes got big and then drop one lane over and three cars back (there was no one else on the road). I slowed down and he wouldn't come any closer. It was weird.

WRX guys usually think you are in an STi until you get right on top of them.

It's that good eh???
dude, yes. I thought it was all hype...but it's not. I no longer feel like I'm losing traction on full throttle...whatever they did, it takes car of any issues...I'm running on all season tires on these factory 20s and have zero issues lol. I even uploaded the full power calibration vice the one that dampens torque in 1st and 2nd.

Top end is nuts...the STi just couldn't keep up...or in my case, keep me from passing him (I let him hit it first the 3rd time we ran against each other lol). I got a thumbs up vice the usual hater look I get from STi owners.

Ummm YUPP! I'm in my early 40's and been there done that too since I got my R. Then afterwards I think to myself wow that was kinda fun and then after that the old part of me kicks in and says thank god she didn't hit my R. Lol

I had that happen to me a few times. All those times is just those people that wants to cut me off. No intentional racing or anything. It’s more like road rage or not driving fast enough for their liking. It seems to me that people drive around 90+ mph on SoCal highways on the norm.

Doesn't the FRS have power equal to a stock eighth gen SI? Not much of a fight.
