Repainted (?) Yellow 2017 Si Coupe in California

Yeah... I like that other (real) yellow. My first Z32 was a pearl yellow. I have picked it on the 10th gen if they'd had something similar from the factory to the old pearl yellow.
When I heard of the new "yellow" I was bummed that I missed out on it. No offense to anyone that has it/likes it... but it is not, in any way a "yellow" car to me. It is... yellow-ish at best… but far more green to my eyes. As soon as I saw the pictures of one I was fine about it not having been available because I never would have picked that color. The other coupe-only bright green popped and I liked that ok too (though not as much as yellow) and would have been a hard choice between it and Ralley Red. This new color? Meh.

The orange from gen 9 was cool... that would have been another top pick had it been available.

the OP pic yellow is total different yellow from tonic yellow.

I miss my Dakar so much! Would trade it back in a heart beat!

No matter what angle these photos were taken in, this car is not tonic yellow. It more closely resembles Phoenix yellow. Also, what camera? One we’re all other colors in the photo look normal?

I do wonder, there’s no chance this paint job is HPJ good. Probably tapelines all over when you open the door, hood or remove some superficial panels. So I would stay very far away from it.

Another good chance is that it’s a wrap.

My addition I love it! The first picture in the thread looks great as well.

Y'all need to get your eyes checked. The car in OP's post is CLEARLY Tonic Yellow!

I'd like to shed a little light on this thread. The owner of this car lives 2 blocks down the street from me. I've never met him or talked to him. However I've driven past this car 100+ times. Basically, everyday as I head to work. After seeing this car in person every morning I can confirm these 3 things.....

1) It was originally a Black Car
1) It is NOT Tonic Yellow
2) It is NOT Painted. It's YELLOW VINYL WRAP (It was actually vinyl wrapped before Tonic Yellow was even released)










Finally, I noticed that car is now gone. It's no longer parked on the street 2 blocks from me. I guess that's why the car is now on Autotrader.

Instead I see this everyday.

I guess someone decided to upgrade. However quite ballsy to buy a car like this and not have a garage to park it every night.
