I've started the hunt again to find a PMM or CW @ MSRP in the bay area. I had an offer @ msrp back in October but unfortunately had to back out due to medical reasons.

If anyone has a contact in the bay area or even a nearby please share :) (I wouldn't mind shipping or driving it home)

Just picked up a 2019 CW for MSRP at Fishers Honda (Indiana). They have a second one on the floor (in Black).

Closed on my Type R yesterday and will be picking it up tomorrow! I'm getting the illuminated sills, console illumination and footwell illumination installed to give the interior just that little bit of luxury. Roush Honda in Westerville, OH is my dealer and they never sell Type R's above MSRP. I am so excited - after 13 years with my 2006 Si, I knew I could not drive anything else but another Honda :)

Looking for a PMM CTR in the New York Tri-State area. I am willing to travel. Any leads?

Edit: Found a willing dealer. After much negotiation, I got MSRP at Huntington Honda, NY

I always come to this thread and the naughty list one and convert from USD to CAD to see the price and I'm always floored. It's just insanity. I feel like if I ever wanted to sell my Type R, my best bet is to sell it in the US lol

I regret not exploring a Canadian CTR. You get lane watch which I really wish I had. And you don't deal with dealer mark up!

Just put down a deposit at Schomp Honda in Colorado. MSRP, but a long list (more than 10) ahead of me.
I was on that list, over a year of waiting. Contact Zimbrick Honda in Wisconsin. You'll have to pay for shipping but it's better than paying 5k+ for markups. When I contacted Zimbrick I was 3rd. I don't know about now but it wouldn't hurt to ask! Jared Zeul was my contact there. Good guy.

I had no idea the US version didn't have lane watch. I've never had it in a car before but man it is amazing!
The no dealer mark up is amazing. When converted, I got my CTR for $35K USD OTD.

Quite a few slightly used ones in the classifieds section for less than MSRP to consider also.

I gave up searching in CA and will be shipping mine (for MSRP) from our friendly neighbor state, PA. I opted for the ‘19 for the radio button  and peace of mind vs buying used. Enclosed transport will be around $1400.
For those of you who are buying from out of state, have you considered taking a one way flight and driving it home yourself? My mother did that with both her '55 Chevy and '75 Rabbit, but both times she was starting on the East Coast from other travels and coming back home to California. Sadly, you do run the risk of collision on this road trip, like we suffered outside of Indy with a Monte Carlo smacking the side of the car while on the freeway.

I’ve given it serious consideration but pot holes, lack of time, and distance (PA to CA) turned me away, so transport it is (still in transit).

There's a forum member named coopermidnight who did this. They flew from FL to NC to get a CBP CTR at MSRP because all dealers in FL required ADM on top of MSRP. I considered doing that too during my search but was able to make it happen 3 hours away in my state

This is the way to do it. I live in Florida, bought my first fd rx7 in Texas and my itr in Ohio. Such a great experience to have with a new car! When I purchase my ctr this is exactly what I will do.

I initially considered this. However, there are several factors that played into my decision to have it shipped. I have miles for free flights, and it still would not provide the value that shipping did. Biggest concern was time. Taking three days to drive home was too expensive in terms of my time. Also, we were having some significant winter storms when I bought, and I had little desire to cross the Rockies during a big winter storm. Also, I was concerned that winter roads would be salted or sanded, neither of which I wanted to drive my new car through.
If I would have been able to get a my car in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas, I would have considered the driving option as more feasible since it would be closer to home and relatively little inclement weather to deal with.
