I got my PRL front pipe in and the quality of it is absolutely amazing! Well done PRL!!

Since this pipe sits right up to the oil pan I decided to heat wrap it with some design engineering titanium heat wrap. a 2" by 15ft roll was enough to do the pipe from the fleet portion on back! Ill but some more to do the small front portion leaving the flex bit exposed to it can do its job. Since the pipe is already covered by the lower slash shields I didn't feel bad covering up the awesome work PRL did! hah.

Honestly this isn't something you need to do its just something I wanted to do to try and keep oil temps down this autoX season.

Looks good, I'm doing the same to my PRL DP and FP this week also.

How are the IAT's after wrapping?

Anyone know how much of a problem it would be if I don’t wrap my front pipe? I’m installing the dp and fp this weekend.

You will find many different opinions about it. Some say do it since every little bit helps and others may say wont make a difference at that point since the exhaust is down and out of the engine bay. Then I have also heard mixed opinions on wraps holding moisture.

I never wrapped my front pipe from milltek...no issues. I switched to hks which doesn't come with a front pipe...I didn't see anything melted lol.
As for temps...guess I don't care too much to worry about it. Car ran fine.

Nah man you will be fine! Its really only a matter of opinion. is there data showing it works, probably do people get by without it yes. For me it came down to with autoX the car sits a lot before heading out on course, trying to keep the temps down was my goal. if it works great, of not, it didnt cost much to do.
