can we all agree that youtubers are the worst? I came into the thread expecting to see something involving a wheel not a link to a youtube vlogger

hah sorry man. im just having fun learning and doing these! Like i said i should get the tires on the wheels and them on the car Saturday! thats the goal anyway. Ill have photos then and ill add them to the main post!

Just a quick unfortunate update.

Well there won't be any photos this weekend but I mounted them up and on the front the Konig wheels are hitting both front calipers leaving marks.

I have sent them an email with video and photos to see what can be done!

Out of respect for them I want to give them a chance to resolve the issue before I phots photos and video.

I know a few others have these wheels but haven't had this issue...

That's unfortunate to hear - what are the specs on the Konigs you got?

Our front brakes are massive and a lot of wheels don't clear them properly

18x9.5 +35.

Same size as their other wheels that fit our cars. Talking to other that have ithe freeforms sounds like these need a 3mm spacer up front to clear the calipers.

Honestly I’m just mad! May at myself mad they didn’t clear when discount said they should. It’s my mistake it I gota deal with it.

+35 is a super aggressive offset and running a 3mm spacer is gonna make it even more extreme. Honestly if discount tire said it would fit, that's on them and should give you a full refund.

You can't assume just because wheels have a similar spec that they'll fit. The brembos on the front of our cars are massive and many wheels won't clear properly.

Yep for sure! at the end of the day its absolutely my fault and i am aware of that. I'm going to order some spacers today! Like I told konig I'm not asking or expecting them to pay for new calipers or anything. it was more of an FYI for them. I did get a response on instagram and they said that it would need a spacer up front, but also they cant tell you to use a spacer, safety legality reasons
