what motor mount are you guys preferring that's stiff enough yet doesn't rattle you to death?

Well after 600 miles, the 27W mount does feel better. But, I just removed it and went back to stock since this is daily. The NVH just was a little much with how often I drive.

I highly recommend their mount, but if you want to have a rough ride and dont mind the extra noise. It is great for track use, it does make a big difference to minimize wheel hop. Instead, the tires do a quick chirp on hard pulls.

I'm getting old and enjoy my fun, but I would like to have a comfy ride for the daily use. To each their own. I will keep it and swap the mounts when I do some track use, but stock will do until then. It only takes an hour at most to swap anyways.

I put in a HAsport 62A and have had it for about 5000km's now.
The car definitely vibrates more on cold start, but the most noticeable is when starting off the line at around 800-1100 RPM's, the car does vibrate quite a bit. Almost feels like you're lugging the engine a bit. After that though, the car feels great. Shifts feel smoother, definitely less wheel hop. The car just hooks up better overall.

I daily drive the car and don't really have a huge problem with it. I will say though, if you carry a lot of loose items in your glove, centre console or cup holder, expect those to rattle quite a bit even as you get up to speed.

I don't find the vibrations too bad at all, but I came from a BRZ. I like what the rear mount provided and personally would recommend it for anyone that wants the car to feel more on the sporty side and more focused.

Totally understand is not for everyone. It grips really good specially on wet surfaces. Transmission whines loud and my exhaust due to the vibrations drones in the cabin. But its too much fun to take it out.

being fairly new to this type of mod, and thanks to this thread, i'm looking at fitting one to my FK2. Unfortunately it's completely different mount than the FK8. However it looks like the 12-15 Si mount might fit so fired an email to HAsport reguarding that mount asking for mesaurements. based on some pictures it looks like the SI mount shoud fit but getting one bought and shipped to the UK isn't quite beer money to experiment with.
if it works out, most likely end up with the u70a version.

Has anyone tried to window weld a stock mount and report back how it feels?

got the hasport 62a mount it really took all the slop out the motor its gear. no more wheel hop also.
the car also rides better imo the front end feels more solid.
strangely the car seems quieter when cruising.

the downside yes the car shakes when you start it up and when you engage the clutch from a stop but i find its easier to feel the motor and feather the clutch now.

Mines feels almost stock daily driving once it broke in. I used synthetic bushing grease when installing. Feels way better when stepping in it.

Installed my 27won this weekend.

First thing I want to say is that the install is super easy, we didn't fight it at all (we had the prybar and hammer ready just in case). Slip the rear portion in, thread the bolt to hold it in place, slide the front in, thread the bolt, zip them both down and done. The fit was perfect, a tad loose to help installation.

I've probably got 100 miles on it now, and it seems the same as when it was installed.

My first impression is that this is the way the car should have come. Maybe Honda would've fixed some of their vibrating panel issues from the factory if they had installed a mount this stiff.

On start up you feel the pulses of the engine firing, idling there's a low level vibration, driving it massages your feet.

As far as noise, the car is louder with the mount installed, it increases the harmonics of the engine through the car for sure. If you were saddened by the lack of exhaust noise when you bought your R, you'll "hear" it better now. Unless you wanted the "announcement" noises of an actual exhaust, this won't fix that, you'll need a fart can for that lol.

Driving, there's no wheel hop now. I intentionally drove harder the day before and day of install to have a good feel for where it was "before". After installation, I haven't gotten one wheel hop moment. Mind you that's not an indication of better traction, it's just not allowing the axles to move around when the tires are slipping like it was before.

If I had to do a quick summary:

The car feels like a toddler amped up on caffeine now, wheel hops are gone, and the engine resonates through the car more.

I wish someone would make an OEM+ version.

HASport replied, USDM Si mount fits the EUDM FK2R.
Almost sure i'm going for the 70a as i use the car as a daily but also trackdays. How are you 70a guys finding things? seen a lot of feedback on the 62a and 27won (88a) but not much on the middle ground.
I think the daily use is fine - maybe 20mins in traffic at city speed but whats a 70a like for longer journeys on cruise at 70mph?

That is why I asked if anyone has tried to window weld a stock mount. I may purchase a spare and do it.
I'm wondering why there isnt a whiteline insert or something like a replacement bushing for the big end of the oem mount. just making that a solid rubber bushing would keep it from shaking the car apart but still strengthen the part. I would think a poly insert would be ideal.

because it's not even worth their time to mold something like that. I wouldn't. You could literally go to the hardware store and buy some window molding for 10-20$ and DIY. If you cry and say it's too harsh, then remove it. The gaps are small AF. I don't even know what the big deal is, but i guess everyone's different and got their own opinion of NVH. Just go buy the HASPORT and be done w/ it.
It's crazy to me, this topic got 18 pages. But, I guess i'm contributing to that
