In the US, if you don't have variable intermittent wipers, and you don't have dual exhaust, you have an LX. In Canada, looks like if you don't have VIW, you have an LX.

Yes, on the US LX, a wire between 10 on the switch and E21 on the BCM did the trick. Hopefully you'll have the same luck on the Canadian LX.
Ok, now I’ll have to ask the dumb questions.. lol
Where exactly is the BCM located?
How do I locate E21?
Which one is the pin 10 on the switch?
Thanks for the info, much appreciated !

The BCM is basically where the sun don't shine  Check out my earlier post for help finding the BCM:
https://www.civicx.com/threads/variable-intermittent-wiper.3233/page-4#post-587384

You'll need some contortion to reach it, but once you do, this post helps you locate E21:

Pin 10 on the switch is the leftmost one on the bottom row in this picture:

As the connector is the mirror image of the pins, it's the rightmost opening when looking at the connector unplugged and face on, next to the brown wire in the picture from @fitter_here below. Pin 10 on the connector is unwired.

If you read this thread from top to bottom, including the 9th Gen mod referenced, that should give you a pretty good idea.

Nice catch. I stand corrected. I was trying to recall from memory and thinking about it from the perspective of the connector, which is the mirror image of the pins on the switch. Post edited. Thanks @fitter_here!

I just finish this modification, it works as expected. It took me about two hours to do, the worst was to modify some connectors that would fit, but it's not too bad to do. I used the wiper switch I had bought for a 2015 civic EX (Picture item 21 in this thread)
I started this thread, thanks to all of you, specially to @wwmisc who done it twice, this is what encourage me to do it.
Cheers

:respect: [*Virtual fist bump*] It only took two years from when you started the thread :p

Waiting to hear from @ck42 about connector p/n. Proper connectors would make this and similar mods easier.

I got it done and it works awesome !!!! Oh how I’ve missed my Si intermittent wipers!!!!
I used a BCM plug I got off a 2008 civic and grind off that connector and pulled two pins out. They both fit perfectly in the 2017 BCM and in the wiper switch plug with no modification. The 2017 BCM plug opens up (the little black door on it) you have to pop it out but not completely out. Because that’s what locks the pins in the connector.
As for the wiper switch connector, that one also splits open and you can just slip the new pin connector in it and re-close the connector and it’s done. They both look and fit like factory.
If anyone wants some pin connectors, I have a couple left. I’ll send it in a letter if you want two.
Big thanks to @wwmisc !!!

If you look under the dash, behind the fuse panel.
Here's a picture of mine with the new wire installed. My car is a 4 door sedan LX

Yes I got her all done, it works just like my Si with the speed sensing and brake release. Love it !
I have a bunch of pin terminals left if anybody wants some. I’ll send them in the mail.

If any body is interested, the P/N for the wiper switch I used for this mod in my LX 4D sedan is: 35256-TV0-S61
It can be bought on the net for around $23 (CDN)
