I installed my kit today and then went for a test drive, I noticed the clutch felt alot harder than normal and squishy at times like it was getting stuck. I gave some throttle and then felt the car pull back power engine light came on with a revmatch emissions notification. Went back to the shop and the code showed a p0102 problem, so I checked that the MAF and it looked to be clipped in and nothing wrong with connection so I cleared the code. Went to check to see what was causing the clutch issue and then noticed that every time the clutch was depressed I could see the aluminum tube move. Turns out the tube was hitting the clutch line where the slave cylinder is. Tried adjusting the tube but there isn't much room for free play especially with that bracket that holds the tube up by the MAP sensor. Has anyone else run into this issue? The tube was literally sitting on the metal actuator? right where the slave cylinder was and I could see the powder coating was scraped off. I took the bracket by the MAP sensor off for now just to give it some space to float, but It was getting late so I buttoned up everything else and left the bracket off for now. Will have a look at it again tomorrow. Can anyone suggest some tips or maybe point to where I went wrong? The good news is that the clutch feels normal now and with it unimpeded the check engine light has not come back and I was able to see that throttle and boost levels appear to be normal in the small amount of of driving I did on the ride home from buddies shop. I'll have to mess with everything and try to get it to fit properly tomorrow, but that seemed so odd that it this happened, havent seen anyone else report this issue either.

But it is, I decided to do it. Send ecu, buy flash pro and hope you don’t need engine warranty items lol
Yeah, it's that last part of that sentence that has me concerned. LOL

In truth, never had a Honda break down on me yet and we've had five. It's more my disappointment at how aggressively Honda is being such weenies about it. Just unlock the ECU, even if you do it solely to set up the killer traction control Hondata offers and don't add any power, tough. Unlock that ECU, no powertrain warranty. They know that they've got a built in limiter at around 370 HP via the fuel pump they installed, so you really aren't going much over a Stage 2 without changing that out, an easy indicator.

When I saw that cap at the dealership that said, "Honda Factory Performance", I didn't realize that it was a warning.

Any update with the clutch pedal issue? I just finished my install over the past weekend and felt that exact thing you described but only under hard acceleration. I also had a CEL but it was for P0101. It seems like I probably didn't tighten up the hoses properly which I thought I did and now I have a boost leak I need to chase. Did you fix the clutch pedal issue? if yes, how so? Thanks!

Small boost leak, fixed it and cleared the code, all good now.
Hello, I am also getting a boost leak and CEL(P0101), where was this boost leak located? Maybe it's at a common location. I will double check my hoses but figured I'd ask. Thanks!

Sorry to hear you're running into some fitment issues with your kit! We'd love to take a closer look and help with troubleshooting as well to make sure you're not running into any other issues as conflicts with the clutch isn't something we've seen come up so far. If you get the chance, would you mind forwarding any photos you have to us at [email protected] so we can take a look? Our team should be able to work out a solution for that, as well as double-check on any CELs popping up.

Thanks,

Mishimoto CS.

Does anyone have this intercooler kit with the Koyo Radiator and have any fitment issues?
