Bumping up an old thread.

Any more pics with people running these rims? Can’t decide between black and the hyper color for my black hatch.
Check the 10th gen civic facebook group, search for Avid 06. A few people are running 9.5 +38 too.

Here are my Hypersilver Avid1 wheels in 18x8.5 with 35 offset. I may have gone with 18x9.5 if I were going to buy new tires that are wider. These fit pretty well and I’m happy with the fit and finish from Avid1 so far.

And could you please tell us what kind of Hub Centric Rings did you go with.

Wore they plastic or aluminium, and what brands ?

How do they fit and run.

Also updates on the wheel and performance so far, please.
Do not get metal hubcentric rings. They completely glued themselves to my rotors after the rotor hub got oxidated from rain and the oxidation stuck both together. I had aluminum rings and I didn't think it would matter because aluminum doesn't rust. DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF. I had to use a chisel and a small hammer to wedge them off.

What about the bolt pattern of 5x120 for the Type R? I noticed that the Avid wheels don't show that, only 5 x 114.3

Should be fine if you apply some anti-seize grease before placement
