I would avoid a head unit upgrade. I got so sick of adapters not working right, the wire mess, etc.

Installing an Audio Control LC7i to retain factory stereo, all of its functions, and gain the ability to hook up a sub/amp.

Not looking to run anything crazy. Currently looking at a 10"/12" powered sub, and a double din head unit that will make use of my reverse camera. Suggestions are appreciated.

Considering this head unit; https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130MV210EX/Pioneer-MVH-210EX.html?tp=5684&avf=Y
I'm going to recommend the Dasaita Android head unit linked below since it is specifically designed to fit 10th Gen Civics and is literally plug-n-play (with the exception of splicing a single connection from the amp's remote signal wire to the corresponding wire on the head unit), and it should accommodate all of your current factory features while adding several more.

If you have a Sport with the basic smaller non touchscreen radio, replacing it is pretty straightforward. Metra makes a harness adapter for the radio and camera. Metra/Axxces also makes a steering wheel controls interface module. I considered going this route, but decided to go with Audio Control integration products. The LC6 is a good option. JL Fix 82/86, Kicker Front Row, among others are similar. You can spend more and get dsp to adjust any parameter, if desired. These options will typically cost the same or more than replacing the head unit. It comes down to what the final result, appearance wise, you will happiest with.

Is the Dasaita better than the Phoenix PX6?
Honestly I'm not familiar with Phoenix's products, but I was under the impression they are rebranded Daisata's marketed to American consumers. I thought the Dasaita one i linked above was the most recent model, but it looks like the PX6 was just recently released so there isn't much info about it online. I'd say go for it since it's probably a newer updated version of the Dasaita I linked.

I attempted to keep steering wheel controls and backup camera on a Sony double din as confirmed by crutchfield that is should work.

Neither would work fine, and all the freaking adapters that are included to make everything work was really off putting for me. Returned everything and and LC7i. Thank God crutchfield is great with returns.

Didn't retain OEM functions with my 18 Civic Hatchback Sport or my buddies 17 Coupe
