I have that sound too, also had it in my 2017 Subaru BRZ

I can only feel it in the clutch. Not the gas or anywhere else. I doubt it's the exhaust.I would start with the exhaust. It sounds like a heat shield vibrating. Last time I had a sound like that was in a truck I had. It only did it at around 4200 rpm. Ended up being one of my baffles was loose in my muffler. Had to change my muffler. Maybe ask if anybody who has changed their exhaust is having this issue. But I would definitely start with the exhaust system
That’s been tried as a fix here at least once. Doesn’t seem to be permanent. It's too early to tell if this is a permanent fix but I too was having this problem. The mechanic at my dealership was great and was quick to notice that the clutch line was vibrating against some metal, so he re-positioned it.
It's only been a day since the fix but so far so good!
I'll try to film my car tonight. It is quite easy to replicate if you have ktuner/hondata and remove the rpm limit while stopped. I'm pretty sure I can make mine buzz ad infinitum by half depressing the clutch in neutral and revving to 4700-5400 rpm.Went in on may 6th. shop foreman was not in. Quality control manager drove the car. Went back the next day and drove with the foreman. Couldn't replicate it enough for him to hear it. The only person that has heard it was one of the techs I went with the week before. Still trying to figure it out. Clutch feels fine but I want to get this issue figured out. Did not have the clutch changed or anything done to the vehicle.
If that's true then it wouldnt be a clutch issue. More of something vibrating under the car like a clutch line or heat shield.I'll try to film my car tonight. I think that's what it is. I can feel the vibration very clearly through the pedal. If that's true then it wouldnt be a clutch issue. More of something vibrating under the car like a clutch line or heat shield.
You were right, the fix isn't permanent. A few days after I posted it started happening again, but interestingly this time at lower rpms (~3-5K). And it still happens from time to time at the original ~5K rpms. That’s been tried as a fix here at least once. Doesn’t seem to be permanent.
Sorry to hear that I was right. It’s irritating. The grind thing seems pretty fixable. Several people have reported good success of eliminating gear grind with a transmission fluid change. I’ve not had the issue yet, so I can’t comment. You were right, the fix isn't permanent. A few days after I posted it started happening again, but interestingly this time at lower rpms (~3-5K). Add to the mix that I've now started experiencing the 1st to 2nd gear grind when driving a bit more spirited--four times in the last two weeks. Needless to say I'm getting quite fed up with the behavior of this car.
