I went to one a couple of months ago and it was a really good turn out, I was the only R there but there were lots of different makes and models. Hard for me to make it to Sunday events though because of church so I most likely wont make it.Anyone in the Triangle trying to hit up Rides & Coffee this month on Sunday April 28th from 9a-12p? I spoke with the manager at Detail Garage Raleigh yesterday and he said if I let him know soon he can reserve X number of spots for us in the primary lot where the majority of people will be hanging. Apparently it fills up fast but Detail Garage would like to see some more Type R's out front their store. @RStoR @J35W2 @Ouhei have all expressed interest in getting a little meet together, granted this is a somewhat larger meet with different makes/models. Let me know if you're going so I can tell them how many spaces we'll need!
I actually sell welding supplies for Roberts Oxygen Company and my customer RJ’s Custom Piping does good work. Not sure what he charges but his TIG/MIG welds are pretty nice. They’ve got a Facebook page with pics of their work. Tell them Nick sent you. They put my HKS legamax on as well as my lowering springs.. no problems at all.Oh and anyone in the Raleigh area know of any shops who do good welding, might fab up an exhaust until I can get the funds together to get the one I want. I just want a shop who knows what they are doing with a welder so it looks good and not cheesy thick bubblegum welds
Hey, I'm new. I just bought a SGP Type-R yesterday, and I'm going to be picking it up on Saturday. I'm going to see what my schedule looks like for both of the dates listed (April 28th and May 4th). I'm in Fayetteville, in case anyone else is close.I went to one a couple of months ago and it was a really good turn out, I was the only R there but there were lots of different makes and models. May 4th there is a Cars and Coffee on 70 Business but Clayton Crossing Church and would be cool to see more R's show up there. goes from 8-11 and usually has a decent mix of cars and a food truck or two
If any of you all make it out to the C&C find me and say Hi!!!! Ill be the one in the CW R with the Spoon stickers on it.
You sir may have cost me some $$Update: Car absolutely handles better. I'm quite surprised to feel how much "spring effect" was eliminated with the subframe after the collars were installed. Wheels are more planted, especially over uneven or bumpy surfaces. Very surprised that these improved so many different driving dynamics/aspects of the drivetrain & suspension. As usual, well done, Spoon.
Ha! You are welcome to drive mine before you make the jump, if you are on the fence. I’m in Cary. You sir may have cost me some $$
Appreciate it man but I'd never ask to drive someone else's R hard to put it to the test; are you tuned? I'd for sure go for a ride along to see the complete package. I'm right up the street in apexHa! You are welcome to drive mine before you make the jump, if you are on the fence. I’m in Cary.
Well, you didn’t ask, I offered. Only other person that has driven my R is my wife...once...in 2 years. Nice thing is you don’t even have to drive it hard to appreciate the difference. I can tell the difference riding through my neighborhood. Shifting is even smoother; car doesn’t lurch between shifts when going up hill.Appreciate it man but I'd never ask to drive someone else's R hard to put it to the test; are you tuned?
