Hello everyone,

I'm currently have a cvt hatch sport with just a few bolt-ons. I'm using the TSP flex fuel kit to run ethanol mixes with Ktuner. Up until a week ago I was at about E30 or so. After talking to a local shop, I was recommended to run full E85 to see how I like it. I decided to give it a try.

I noticed a slight increase in power and a smoother acceleration overall, but that was always the case with the CVT. That's why I chose it.

The issue: There is some sort of ignition issue at high rpms and the engine is unable to sustain the normal CVT rpm curve for too long without turning on a check engine light and preventing me from going over 2k rpms or so until I restart the car. The light turns off after I reset the tune. Or if I wait for the engine to cool down completely. It's happened twice this week when I was pushing the car. Also I noticed that in colder weather, the car struggles to start cold. I have to give a few seconds for it to ignite.
-Oil is fine
-The car was not cold when it was pushed
-No leaks
-Only happened when I was running full ethanol.

I might be missing something obvious, but I wasn't able to find anybody with a similar issue. Ktuner is set up correctly. I checked multiple times. The ethanol sensor is also working. I assume there is not enough heat in the engine or maybe the fuel line is too restricted at some point. Maybe there is some setting in Ktuner to adjust for a higher ethanol ratio.

Please let me know what you guys think :)

Too much ethanol. Anything beyond 40% is a waste for the most part, and something the factory fueling system cannot handle very well.

Just out of curiosity, do you know of any aftermarket options for fuel systems, or is this about the full benefit that this generation of civic will see from ethanol?

Fuel system upgrades will available at some point, hopefully sooner than later. At this time, nothing is available.
