Metal Skid Plate Replacement

Hello all! So a couple of months back I was driving and switching lanes when the underside of my car hit something in the road. This damaged the metal skid plate enough to cause it to drag on the road. I had to remove it. You may see the attached photo of the damage.

My question is, does anyone know where to obtain this separately? The rest of the underbody shield is okay except this part. A new underbody shield is close to $130. I'm sure I can find this somewhere, even used. Anyone here from San Diego that knows a salvage yard with newer Civics? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Try asking a small local welding shop how much they would charge to straighten it back out. Maybe weld a little piece on to fix where it’s torn apart on the side.

took this off and threw it away,and never looked back....I change my oil/filter too often to worry about this pain in the ass plate. hasn't affected me in any negative way...

IMO this plate might be useful for fuel economy, less noise, keep engine electrical dry and ?

The only thing you can say is you don't know. If car don't need this plate was Honda won't put it

I agree I go under too often to worry about it, but at the same time, my engine bay is getting dirtier and dirtier, and if I hit something again then it's game over hahaha

By the way, did you ever find a place in SD for a replacement piece? I just removed my skid plate and I'm also looking for a good place to find a replacement.

I ended up just going to the dealership to buy a while new underbody shield. Cost about $130-$140ish

Does anyone know where i could find a skid plate like the one in the first picture? i have to completely change. the skid plate on my 2019 honda civic lx

I actually find someone (company or person, I don't know) who makes aftermarket skid plates through the rabbit holes of IG lol

I'm probably going to get this sometime in the near future, for the simple doors for the oil drain and filter sections.

Just get the one for type R, ~$40

happen to have a part number? i have a EX and keep getting told that i need to buy the complete assem for 400$+

has anyone has any experience using this one? i have a 2019 civic and my skid plate came loose on windy day and it literally skid all over underneath on the highway. the dealership quoted me over $800, saying i would have to have a new brace installed and that the plate isn’t sold separately.
