I went thru an accounting program where they hire alot of retired old accountant to teach accounting newbiz...they blew through lecture without stopping much and then test on un-cover topics.

My experience would be that complaint is a waste of your energy and time. Just get the class done and move on. You will probably never see that bit*h again. ;)

Yeah I decided against it.
I figured just focusing on passing this dam online course would be better in the long run. Boy I'm never taking an online STEM course again. Complete PITA

I went through the navy nuke pipeline and finished a BS degree early this year. Going and knocking out the degree through an online school was cake... doing about 30 credits inside 2 years.

When I was going to a brick and mortar school... I did had issue in College Algebra/Statistics because my professor didn’t speak English. Like... not at all. Asking questions kind of didn’t work out well. I got a C in Stat back then (nearly 20 years ago) by just sort of winging the mid-term and final. I got a A in Calc 2 though self-study and watching Krista King/Khan Academy/Organic Chemistry Tutor videos late last year/early this year. My ability to self study and learn is worlds better now than when I was a kid and lacked discipline. Not to say that’s relevant for all young people... but it was for me. At that time, I was going to school full time and working full time and it was all cars and girls and partying.

Not really math related... but I wrote a paper for a “Intro to Education” class at that same school where the instructor said must be plagiarized because she said it was too good... whatever that means. I had my high school principal and 12th grade English teacher (who did the AP course I passed to Clep English Comp 1 and 2) go to bat for me with the dean and the whole plagiarism thing got dropped. Got a C in the course... for work that was supposedly too good I couldn’t have done it. Made me super angry but there was nothing that I could do about it. I was looking at going the education path to be a school teacher but that soured it for me and I had another class only she taught I would have had to take. She cockblocked an A I should have gotten because she got shutdown.

9/11 happened... walked away from a 75% tuition scholarship for any FL school and enlisted. Oh well... I got the piece of paper eventually.

I’m still in high school and I had a very hard time during the pandemic. I was going to get a whole bunch of accommodations such as full credit for late work, extended time to do homework, and extended time on tests. It had to be a unanimous decision between my teachers, but my precalculus teacher was the only one who said no so I got no accommodations for any class. Even under pressure from the school counselors and administration he didn’t budge. I ended up with a MUCH more difficult time than necessary last year because of him.

I’m still in high school, and since I have depression, adhd, anxiety, and a few other related things I had a very hard time during the pandemic. I was going to get a whole bunch of accommodations such as full credit for late work, extended time to do homework, and extended time on tests via Proctoredu. Hm, that is strange. I thought that due to pandemic restrictions and shift to online format it will make studying much easier.

No, for people like me who are extremely social and rely on seeing other people every day for enjoyment, lockdown makes it very hard to be motivated to do anything. In fact it was almost unanimous among the 1200 students at my school that they prefer in-person learning.

Mind sharing school and bad professor experiences? I currently have a horrible Calc 2 professor who is extremely condescending and has a bit**y attitude. She is an extremely rigorous grader with little to no partial credit. I will be filing a complaint soon based on her biast-ness and rude attitude. :banghead: I hate her.
It’s not entirely clear what you mean!

Your situation with the professor seems to be causing negative emotions, and I understand how difficult this can be. It is important to find an approach to the situation and solve the problem constructively. This is how I found contact with the teacher and now we constantly communicate and recently he advised me to read “a rose for emily”, but I found https://papersowl.com/examples/a-rose-for-emily/ for this. We just didn’t have time, in general we have an excellent relationship. It is important to stay on track to achieve your educational goals and seek support when needed.
I am here

Currently studying Aerospace too. To be honest, I always look for opportunities to learn something new as it's the best way to grow. Any FortuneBuilders reviews? It seems like an interesting option. The mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experiences has truly shaped my understanding of the field. Any memorable professor experiences or tips for navigating the world of engineering studies?
