Hey there, its a actually a nice difference. Turbo breathes much better. I did the prl fp dp tuned with hondata and its a different car completely. Plus, naturally you will build more boost and much quicker!
thanks for your input. how difficult would you say the install was?

Welcome back @BoostedSiCoupe. I'm going to be doing that same tire package here soon. What size did you end up going with? I was going to try and get a 245 wide on the stock wheels/ride height.

Also, I want to do the full map race DP/FP/exhaust. Might as well take advantage of no emissions testing while I have it! (FL)
hey dude i just went with the stock size 235/40. im sure the 245s will work just fine. these tires are amazing btw. next i want to upgrade my sway bars. im thinking type r for the rear..

Well, it really comes down to 2 things. 1.How good you are with your hands 2. Quality of your tools. Sounds dumb but makes a huge difference.

Certain studs are prone to breaking easily ( has happen to a lot of people). The actual job is simple in steps but having air tools and an extra hand helps.

I highly recommend this so that you can align the pipes well so that you don't cross thread any studs or bolts which results in an exhaust leak. Also be careful with the gaskets they are sensitive and any little thing can cause them to fail.

nope.
just tsp1 tune. planning on a dropin filter but we have to much standing water for me to feel good about a cai.
I live on a dirt road and I have the PRL cold air. When installing the PRL turbo I discovered a small pile of sand in my exhaust manifold xD

Which means my engine ate then spit that out at one point

I already had a prl cobra street with no tune and added the 27won Catted Dp/Fp combo. Opened up the low end and mid range a lot. Made it about 300 miles before a CEL light came on. Erased it and was fine. Never ran funny when the light came on. But that was my excuse to order a KTuner from TSP and get their Stage 1 Tune. Only done one test drive so far and it’s a whole different car.

Damn man, I know how you feel. My bestfriend in highschool lived on a dirt road and there was no such thing as a clean car lol

BUT, dude seriously I don't think that intake is right for you.. You can lock that engine up quick.. sand, dirt, shouldn't be running through there.. Just looking out!

yeah those a/s good years really fuggin suck. they are borderline dangerous tires if you do any spirited type of driving.

get that tuner man
Wow, oh my god, thank you for saying this -- I was actually going to post a thread about the A/S tires, because they are absolutely the least progressive tires I have ever experienced in my life re: traction loss. There is basically no "safety zone" when losing grip. They either have traction or they don't and then you understeer into who knows what.

Can't wait to get some nice tires on the car when I can justify it.

Gentleman, im back from my month long ban. I still dont know exactly what i said that was ban worthy, but i guess freedom of speech isnt a virtue in this form. So now i will heavily censor myself going forward

Anyways my dudes, my si is back with with Michelin ps summer tires and damn this thing handles like its on rails. i got the mishimoto intake and combined with the res delete the si sounds sweet.

my question is: how much gains come from a down pipe without a tune? is it even worth it? and how difficult is the install?
*In a heavy russian accent*
Welcome back to Soviet Russia!
Now comrade, here in Mother Russia no freedom of speech here, or else. Blyat!!!
