Lacy mudflaps

nice! I just received my mudflaps as well. did you have to remove your OEM wheels to install it or did you just steer it to the side?

I'm thinking about putting them on tonight if I dont need to remove the wheels.
(I checked youtube as well, but the install vids that people posted had aftermarket 18 inch wheels)

Front ones should be doable with the wheels turned. Back ones, I've seen people done it with wheels on, but it depends on where it gets frustrating with you. Can always use a flexible screwdriver extension.

Special thanks to @98-0425 for hooking it up with the mugen engine start/stop switch! Doesn’t increase HP but sometimes it’s all about the fine details lol.

Still need to install the rears. So dreading them.

Don't dread, it's not that bad.

Pulling the rear wheels is no big deal, as the rear center jack point is easy to get to. Throw it on jack stands and it's just a matter of time taken to remove the rear undertray. Nothing difficult, just time consuming.

Did you remove the fog light and/or faux grill to install, or does it fit over without removing anything? It the film large enough that the edges would tuck under the trim? I have some here to install and have been wondering how easy it will be.

I popped out the black surrounds. Tape off the outside portions of the bumper, by the brake ducts (the three vertical vents, think those are brake vents...) and use both a plastic trim tool wedged in between the bumper and the trim piece adjacent to those three vertical vents, and then use your fingers through the vents to push the clips inward (toward the intercooler) slightly. The combination of those forces pushes the grill out just enough that you can then start to unclip it. The clips want to "fly out" when they're undone so be careful of the paint on that. There is a push clip on each side, just one, behind the grille. You should have enough room to pull the grille forward and disengage that clip.

From there the fogs come out with two screws each and one hardess. I used a 12" x 12" sheet, of which I used probably a 4" x 4" area for each fog so I definitely have some film left over. I prepped the surface of the fog light with Panel Wipe then used a heat gun to form the laminix around the light. Pulled it tight using heat, then snipped off the excess underneath the light. Reinstall the light, reinstall the surround, and do the other side. I would not recommend trying to film the fogs without taking them out. It only takes a few minutes to get them out, once you get the feel for releasing the snaps for the grille surround. My driver's side surround came out easier than the passenger side but I think that's just because I'm right handed and had better leverage through the vertical vents to push in and outward. Lastly, wearing a set of gloves is advisable, that plastic is a bit sharp and you do have to put pressure on the sharp bits.

Thanks for the detailed response. I'm going to give it a shot this weekend.
