Flash stock, get update, email ktuner. It’s nothing more detailed than that.

And you wanna know what happens when you dont do that process as a company? You end up like that other company that released an update 3 months after ktuner, they didnt make one post about it, didnt ask for updates from the consumer, and completey botched the update leaving users with transmission control mismatch codes and a dash full of lights, then told people its honda’s issue and take it to them lol. So all you people acting like you were left in the dark or didnt know what to do, must’ve missed the original thread ktuner made and the multiple others they responded too.

So I may have screwed up. I got the recall performed and next day flashed a 19.5 base back on my ECU. I'm worried that when I flash back to stock it will be flashing the original stock (pre recall) tune on it. Did i screw up?

Did you flash the tune using the latest Ktuner software? My guess is if you were on the older software (Ktuner hadn't added the dilution updates), you may have overwritten the changes Honda made.

Did you contact KTuner after you had the recall work done, like they requested?

I did use the latest ktuner software. Also didnt contact ktuner because I just recently stumbled across this thread and by that time it was too late.

With you having a '17 and since you used the latest software, you're probably golden... I would think.

We will be adding a list that will allow you to choose options from it when returning to factory, just so you have full control.

I don’t have KTuner yet but did have the oil dilution update completed a couple of months ago. Does the flash process “store” the factory ecu settings currently in the ecu for reuse later (flashing back to stock) or would the update be lost? Canadian Si 2018.

With the Si you probably should by OK but contact Ktuner to see if they have your software included for sure. If so, you're good.

I’m assuming sending them my ecu # would suffice prior to purchasing. I do have an OBD2 scanner if they need additional info.

I have my appointment set up for the 6th. I'm currently running the stage 1 tune from Vit (sorry if this is a sore subject here). I'm assuming this tune will be not recommended after and I should use the base maps after?

You're fine to reuse it and will be able to choose to flash back to factory using the dilution updates in an upcoming update.
