was that a before and after dyno from stock to eventuri on the same day/dyno?

Just curious. Only thing I didn't care for on the eventuri was that the inlet from their box is 2.5" vice 3" like the oem and other aftermarket intakes. I know it opens up at the filter, but so does AEM on top of the 3" inlet.

I noticed hondata mentioned eventuri was one of the intakes that seems to need a tune.

For the OP:
As for intakes, I've had aFe and now have AEM. Everyone is going to have their likes/dislikes with what they went with...so it's subjective. Like someone probably mentioned, spend money on hondata or ktuner first for bang/buck.

I like AEM more than the aFe because of the sound lol.

I saw someone mentioned 1500 for the HKS, right now it's is 807 with that module or 552 without module (needs a tune though)...not sure if they are still coming out with the carbon fiber box, if/when they do then yeah, it'll be 1500 most likely (from what I saw on hks japan).
The eventuri has the dual intake paths . Vividracing said no need for a tune . They have tuned the eventuri with the Ktuner . I’ll be getting my final tune soon . Looking for a reputable place in Mt area to get it done . Like you said it’s all taste . I actually spoke with eventuri. There is 0 heat soak because of the dual intakes and it seals up nice just like the stock one but you get the extra intake on the bottom . And it’s sounds like it wants to eat you for lunch lol. And I like the carbon fiber bling when you open the hood.

It just dawned on me, after looking back more closely at the drawing, that the scoop is pointing to the left and not forward. Now maybe I can go look under the hood and see how it works.

What threw me off is this pic from Eventuri's site, showing an FK8 with some sort of added opening in the grill area right under and in front of the airbox. But looking more closely at the pic and the drawing, the air opening in the grill is way too low to be the duct shown in the drawing, even if the duct was turned forward.

The opening is exactly the same as factory . It just jives you the second opening down here .

Hey how come no one has mentioned the eventuri's fuel trims and afr ratios? My short ram with my civic sport was giving me cel rich codes during long idles and my fuel trims were like -25. Is the size for the maf housing for this intake the same as stock? Fuel trims and afr are probably the most important aspects of running a reliable intake.

Hondata specifies on their basemaps that an option to scale the maf is needed for that intake to fix afr’s because it does not read like factory.

Ok, I have a comment on this. The secondary scoop is not directly connected to the filter hence theres no suction on the air that gets tossed on there. I think it wont be that much due to the fact that the secondary inlet is not facing the airstream directly. I could be wrong but Im judging on what I see.

I have heard from a reputable tuner that the Eventuri does cause some issues with the MAF voltage. Just what I heard.

Personally, I have PRL Stage 1 and am waiting on Stage 2. Don't really expect to pick up any gains, but sound will be a bit more.

i thought about that too but the vacuum effect from the intake may possibly bring in air from that scoop? has to be better than having nothing.

hondata actually has a different maf table for eventur intakes.
I have afe and i might get the prl one. Or just keep it as is cause intakes aren't really going to do much like you said. :dunno:

Yea, is more for sound. I really like how injen sound but being a open element is not an option for me. I had the mishimoto and sounded great, but it left me with more sound to be desired.

My first intake was actually an injen. Sounded so good but man i was not happy with how it performed.
AFE is not super quiet but i do prefer it to be a little louder. it probably makes the same amount of noise as the PRL due to how it's designed.

It's unfortunate that all the good performing intakes need a closed box which reduces noise.
