Hello! Flashing Brake LEDs have been a great way to grab the attention of drivers behind you. Usually one would have to install a module and splice into wires to get this to work. With the limited space behind our tail lights its difficult to figure where to mount the module as well.

The benefits of upgrading your Brake LEDs with TypeRLEDs Flashing Brakes

  • -6 Flashes in 1 second then goes to a solid red, Grabs the attention of the driver behind you! Safety!
  • -Brighter than OEM! The LEDs produce a 360 output which fills up the entire Taillight.
  • -Deeper RED color - Brake LEDs are RED, RED light shining through a RED housing = MORE RED.
  • -Direct Plug and Play. NO SPLICING NEEDED. NO MODULES to mess with.

Check out the product page Here. There is also a video included on the product page.

Ordered my interior light kit and brake LEDs. I inquired about any color options which weren't available, but I have created a solution I'll post here, granted that my idea works. I have blue tint rolls ordered from amazon and I am going to tint the interior plastic light covers and see what happens. I'll post back here when I get it all installed this weekend, I hope it works!

Also, I wanted to wait for a sale(and because I'm broke ATM) so I can hopefully grab the front and rear turn signals!

The reverse LED X is extremely powerful and very bright.

The build are different as well.

The regular Reverse LEDs work well also. However some like a even more powerful reverse light.
I just installed all the offerings from TypeRLEDs on my CTR. They look great and were for the most part fairly easy to install. Acc0rd79 did a pretty good tutorial for the install so shout out to him. I did run into an issue with the Reverse LED X where I didn’t think it would mount to the socket because the LED had an extended wire with a connector that you would then connect to the original connector. With the way this is set up, I didn’t think it would clear when remounting the rear lamp housing so I gave it a go but didn’t try too hard. I then reached out to Nhan “TypeRLED” Phan and he assured me it should fit and clear without obstructing the reinstall of the rear lamp housing. I was then able to finesse it into place where I was able to mount everything back together as normal. Props to Nhan for being super responsive and willing to help clarify the install.

My only gripe with this whole set up was with the Reverse LED X. I noticed that the “snug fit” grommet was green and didn’t think much of it but after installing it, when you look at the housing The green grommet is pretty noticeable next to all the clear reflectors. I then looked at there original images for these LEDs and they are black. One of the attractive features that drew me to these LEDs was the fact that the turn and reverse part of the housing looked clear until the lights were on but with the green grommet, it’s definitely noticeable and it kinda throws that off and doesn’t look as clean. A small gripe but a valid observational complaint nonetheless. Other than that they look really good.
