So looking at getting an Si or a sport hatch manual and I noticed they have the electric e brake now. I was wondering does it activate when you turn the car off or do you still have to turn it on when leaving the car?

If you have brake hold on (requires turning it on every time) then the ebrake turns on when you take your seatbelt off (or similar). Either way, you would have to either manually engage the electric brake every time when you stop or you can manually turn on the brake hold every time you start which will then auto activate the electric brake when you are done driving. I've just gotten into the habit of putting the car in first in addition to the electric brake so that if I do forget the electric brake, at least the gear will (hopefully) hold it from moving.
