You realize these cars tuned are putting 280 hp 350tq to the wheels right? And all that tq is early so traction control is really nice to have
You can only do such much with these street tires and oil residue and countless other road debris. To me it's a gimmick some guys are all gecked out about this or that feature. I'm not knocking it but until I see significant reaults I'll roll with the oem traction control.

If you need all that for a car that makes less than 200 hp...well carry on my friend...lol I come from an era where we didn't have a band-aid and in most race applications they turn traction control off!!!
1) I didn't say that I, or anyone else for that matter, needed TC for anything. I just called BS on your my-foot-is-better-than-a-computer statement.

2) The old man card doesn't work on me. I was in my 20s and already well into my racing career when EFI first started hitting production vehicles. So your uphill-both-ways-in-the-snow stories don't mean much to me.

3) With the exception of the NHRA Pro classes, virtually every drag race sanctioning body has now given up their ban on traction control. How do I know this? Because I am currently the Chief Technical Advisor, and have been off and on for the last 20 years the Event Tech Director for one of the largest drag racing sanctions in the country. I know all about what rules are being used around the country, and I personally wrote the section of our current rulebook on Traction Control.

Bro these are mere piggyback systems with hondata and ktuner. All they are doing is manipulating the stock traction control system Honda has in place. The stock sensors are not designed for ultra performance. To me it's a gimmick to get not so knowledgeable consumer to think they NEED this feature. Again it's a bandaid because get a stand alone like AEM, motec, haltec, etc. Their traction control system and sensors capabilities for exceed stock stuff that honda can do. The jury is still out on this you are I don't even know if it will work. What association do you work for? Because as a racer you should know turn off the stock traction control because it pulls power for milliseconds and in racing every second counts. Don't get butt hurt because I don't believe in this bandaid. If people would learn to drive versus depending on a bandaid to help them drive. Ever watch NHRA drag racing? When those cars spin the tires you hear the commentators talk about a 'peddle fest' guess what the drivers are doing? Peddling the car with their foot to gain traction no using traction control. And how long has that sport been around? And it's 2019 and you still here and peddling the car.

Last night I was on the Ktuner forums and saw that they replied to someone saying that they have been working on TC for a while. So Ktuner users will eventually get it I believe.

Ktuner has launched it for the Si, so yeah, its probably getting expanded to other trims as well.

I have faith in James' ability to do something as good if not better than Hondata with respect to traction control. We just need to have patience; these guys know what the market wants.

I'm keeping my V1.2 setup until traction control is released for the FK8 so I can try, as best I can, to evaluate both solutions.

Any suggestions on methods or tools, besides a dyno for that sort of comparison, that I could use? Maybe a GPS system that can analyze time from a start to 60 or 100 or from 20 to 100?

I worked with VividRacing to get my Ktuner V1.2 with my eventuri intake . . Super happy with both. If a new tune for stage 2 comes out I’d it a free download ? Or is it an extra purchase to download it ?

all calibrations that ktuner provides are free...you just update the software and whatever they added will be there for your use.

yeah, I didn't hear much at all for us CTR owners. I ended up making the switch. Finally hit the button for flashpro. I'll miss having that V2 display
