I was planning on swapping in the braided clutch line as well, but it turns out that someone had something to prove when they tightened both 10 and 12 mm fittings. While the Cusco hook you linked does seem like it could actually do the job, I get the feeling companies might not even bother risking it. No one wants to damage a customer's vehicle, or even take a chance, when more reliable (actual tow areas) options exist.

At the track near my city, the people working at the track won't even consider towing a car by these aftermarket hooks. YMMV.
