you can get some pretty cheap windows tablets with usb ports if you look.
check amazon. i saw a few under 100$ new

yeah, a windows tablet would be great -- I know KTuner states WinXP SP3 and later, and a 1.8Ghz Core2 Duo (I'm assuming this is about c.2008?) and 4GB of RAM...just wondering if something like this:

Well, going to give it a go since I have one lying around from a couple of years ago when the Microsoft Store had them on fire sale for $49 -- will report back.

Just tried my Z8300 Atom based NuVision tablet (much like the one from amazon), and it works fine! It's slow to load KTuner and load tunes, but it works. I did some optimization of the OS (removed animations, tried to shut down as many background processes as possible, etc.) to work a little better in the small 2GB of RAM it has which helped a bit. Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone was just looking for something really inexpensive to be able to use KTuner.

I just ordered the k tuner 1.2. from vittuned for my 1.5 ex-l . I'm reading up the user manual for k tuner and it said that I need a laptop to lock the ecu. It also mentioned that it need to be online to complete locking. Does it mean I need to connect the ktuner to car then to laptop while the laptop is connected to WiFi? If my laptop needs to be online while I lock to ecu I will have some difficulty since I don't have a garage.

What are some "must set" setting in the ktuner app? I am just looking to upload the stage 2 + stock based map. Not planning custom tune or going to the track.

Is there supposed to be some special based map from vit when you buy the k tuner from him? I see people talk about vit's map for the si. Or are they just talking about custom tune?

having the same problem rn i havent tuned my car yet due to my wifi connection not reaching my laptop and also i used mac that i downloaded windows and its slow as hell might buy a laptop and worry about the wifi later on

You can try to get a WIFI Extender and set it right at your window to get your WiFi signal out of our home.
