- 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback EX
I didn't know I had them. LoL 2019 Hatchback EX. My 2018 Hatchback EX didn't have it so when I traded it in (separate long story) I didn't think the 2019 had it either. For some reason I didn't think it was part of the Honda Sensing bundle, but some maybe touring level upgrade along with the automatic wipers/etc. We took a long (5.5hrs each way) trip mostly night driving, might have been nice to know I had it but I found out after we got back. LoLWhich models have the automatic high beams? I don't see it mentioned in the the 2018 sedan Owners Guide or Owners Manual so I presume the sedan does not have this feature, unless I missed it.
Seems they aren't turned on by default, just like the road departure mitigation system.... The auto high-beam headlights is indicated on the dash by a green headlight symbol with an A inside it which was not on for me. THe RDMS is a button in the lower left of the dash.
For the auto high-beams, by the book:
To disable the system: When the vehicle is on and parked, pull the headlight lever towards you and hold it for 40 seconds. The auto high-beam indicator blinks twice.
To re-enable the system: Pull the headlight lever towards you and hold it for 30 seconds. The auto high-beam indicator blinks once.
To temporarily cancel operation, do either of the following:
• Flash the high beams by moving the lever toward you. Flash the high beams again to resume auto high beam operation.
• Engage high beams by moving the lever into the high beam position. Return the stalk to the low beam position to resume auto high beam operation.
