Online order or did you find at a local store? Thanks!Just went with a clear cover, no frame. I find the frames cover up my validation and county stickers. Don't need pulled over for that.
Double sided foam tape? Should act as a barrier between paint and plate. Even a cheap kind from dollar store or Walmart with poor backing should stay in place and prevent scratches and remove easily without damage to clear coat.Has anyone seen any license frame BACKING PLATE that is large enough and can protect the CTR paint?
I have an old alumni license plate frame I'd like to use, but the back edges are really rough and might scratch the paint.
On a different car, I used the clear plastic plate cover but put behind the license plate. This pushed the frame away from the paint but you may need to get slightly longer bolts. Those clear covers become scratched up over time, I don't like them anyway.Double sided foam tape? Should act as a barrier between paint and plate. I'm using the weather tech, black frame with the clear cover and it has a rubber backing hopefully to avoid damage to the paint. I like the it has covers over the screws so it looks clean.Anyone that has weathertech frames, how are you all liking em? Iām considering the clear frame.
Anyone that went naked (with their plates), are you using any type of backing? Or straight plate to car?
Iām looking into the one without the cover. The rubber backing is what seems to be a nice addition, to help protect the paint.I'm using the weather tech, black frame with the clear cover and it has a rubber backing hopefully to avoid damage to the paint.
