I work in an auto repair shop and get lots of car blood and guts on me. For the most part my car doesn’t show any grime from the shop. However I’ve slowly got some on the inside roof of my car. Any tips on cleaning without smearing?

Try Oxyclean auto and upholstery. Autozone carries it around here. GREAT stuff

First off, do NOT spray any product directly onto the headliner.

Use a cleaning product of choice (any quality fabric/upholstery cleaner diluted is fine, no APC's), and spray it onto a microfiber towel. Dab onto the headliner, gently, and agitate with either a soft boars hair brush, or gently with the microfiber towel itself.

The goal is to never soak/saturate the headliner too much. Using a damp towel will allow you to soak up most of the gunk without doing damage to the adhesives of the headliner.
