If you can't build boost... I'd say that BOV has gotten damaged somehow and is stuck to where gases are constantly recirculating around... or... something happened to your turbo and it's toast. You blowing blue smoke?

Exhaust boom followed by rattles? I'd guess the catalytic converter is shot. Don't put too much stock into that, we can only provide so accurate of a guess from a forum post such as this. Vehicle shaking? Not sure about that...

You know the BOV is no good, put the stock unit back on. Use your Flashpro to datalog and gather data that way.

Loud pop was detonation and likely fire and flames shot out the exhaust pipe ... Any charcoal damage on the exhaust outlet? Egg smell?

Definitely charcoaled dude. I saw that weird black gunpowder shit on the exhaust tip. Any ideas?
You can get a catted or catless down pipe or see if someone who's replaced your downpipe will sell you theirs. Not sure that you'd have a leg to stand on as to a warranty repair. Any mods other than the BOV and the +6 Hondata flash?

Is this one of the reasons you should not put on an aftermarket BOV? Also, if the CAT was shot, wouldn't it throw a code?

I'd think you would. I though that was the whole point of the O2 sensor on the downstream side of the CAT. Maybe there's damage done but it's still an effective catalyst and doing it's thing. Maybe the cat is fine but a hanger/heat shield came loose in the backfire.

A BOV can make you run rich (too much fuel), and too much fuel in the exhaust can lead to a detonation within the exhaust. A detonation within the catalytic converter could easily destroy it. This is why it is never recommended to use any sort of anti-lag when you have a catalytic converter.

While I'm sure it depends on the damage, it is certainly possible that a catalytic converter with parts loose inside could still function well enough to avoid a CEL.

Its the motor mounts. The engine rocks back and forth too much when starting/stopping. Taking this pos BOV off and going to dealer tomorrow. Should i reflash back to stock?
That's a throbbing affirmative.

Why do you want this thread deleting? it's always better to leave things like this up to help other people.
Probably covering his tracks for some reason. Seems very shady
